POV:
doug and kamala haven't been together in a week due to her having to travel overseas. kamala hates traveling while they are arguing and it irritates her because doug doesn't care. the argument began last monday night it was over kamala's maternity photo shoot ideas.
Kamala: You act like you don't care!
Doug: It's not that serious! God!
Kamala: Okay bet that! Do you even want this anymore?
Doug: Of course I want this!
Kamala: Then why are you fighting me on this?
Doug: You know what? I give up...HAVE THE DAMN SHOOT.
Kamala: We will continue this when I get home tonight...I've got a meeting.
Doug: No we will not! I told you to have the photo shoot! End of discussion.
Kamala: Okay Douglas! Watch your smart ass mouth. Don't let your mouth write a check that your ass can't cash!
doug's heart dropped reading that text. he'll never admit it but kamala does scare him when she really mad. he didn't respond but he sent the rest of day with a troubled mind. "dad, you good? you seem off..." kinsley asked her dad as they sat at the counter eating dinner. "yeahh...im good!" doug lied. "umm...i know you and mom aren't really getting alone right now." she said and doug looked at her. "do you know why?" he asked. "well i saw your messages. it's her body, dad. personally...if i may?" kinsley paused and doug nodded. "i think you overreacted...wait before you get mad! you went jumping to conclusions. yes moms a married woman but she wouldn't be completely naked taking the pictures, dad! you know mommy respects you more than that and that's why she got so mad with you." kinsley said. god she was just like kamala and it kinda made doug mad but proud at the same time. they heard the door open. "BABYGIRL? DOUG? I'M HOME!!" kamala announced taking off her pantsuit coat. "IN THE KITCHEN!" doug yelled. "mommy!!" kinsley hugged her mom. "hi sweetheart! i missed you!" kamala kissed her daughters cheek.
"i missed you too! and bun!" kinsley smiled doing her handshake with her moms belly. kamala giggled. doug smiled at his wife and daughter. after cleaning her plate and washing it, kinsley looked at her parents who were obviously ignoring each other. she cleared her throat. the tension between was THICK AND HEAVY! "both of you need to grow up and apologize!" she said. kamala's brows furrowed slightly as she cocked her head to the side. "excuse me?!" she asked. "you heard me! i hate when you guys fight! you guys told cole and greenley to never go to be mad at each other yet you guys do!" kinsley said, both kamala and doug looked at each other. "i'll give you guys some alone time! good night...love ya!" she smiled. "love you too!" kamala said. "love ya, kiddo!" doug said. kamala sighed, looking down at her belly. "she's right..." she said, softly. "i know...i'm...i'm sorry, honey! i shouldn't have said what i said and reacted the way that i did!" doug said.
"i forgive you...dougie!" she grabbing his hand giving it a sweet squeeze. "i love you" she winked. "i love you too" he smiled.
