Both Sides of the story (Jordan Eckes)

Chapter 9

SO Yesterday (July 12) I went to warped 2015 with my friends and I thought that I should probably put a hometown date for this chapter. Even though this is based mostly on Warped 2014, I'm going to write it and I hope you enjoy it.

Today's show is going to be crazier then our other shows throughout tour. Today we are playing in Hartford, Connecticut which just happens to be Third Is King's home state show. All of our friends and family were going to come see us preform and come hang afterwards. All of us are all scattered around the state, some of us living in towns like West Haven or Milford. Connecticut isn't as bad as others may think it is. There isn't much to do, but at least we have some good music.

I rushed around the bus trying to find my phone. My family were already at the venue waiting for me. I tried to tidy myself so I don't look like complete shit when I meet up with them. My sister, Sam, and cousin, Evan, were texting me all last night telling me how excited they were. I finally found my phone and checked it before I left. Sam and Evan were texting me like crazy. I texted them back telling them I was on my way.

All the boys were already going to meet up with some friends and/or family. I grabbed the guest passes and put them into my bag so I wouldn't forget. We still had one hour until the gates opened for warped, so I wanted to get everyone inside so I can show them around. Even though, crew was still setting up, I can still bring them inside and show them where we were going to play and  I got schedules for Sam and Evan. TIK was playing right after WATIC.

That reminds me of Jordan. I didn't mention to him that there was a chance that he was probably going to end up meeting my parents. I took my phone out and sent him a quick text.

R: Hey babe, so today my parents are at the show and I didn't know if you maybe wanted to meet them or not. It would be totally okay if you didn't want to, but I just wanted to let you know.

Oh yea, you guys are playing right before us onstage. Just thought I would let you know :*

J:Goodmorning to you too.

I would love to meet your parents. I want to meet the people that made a gorgeous girl like yourself.

I bet you that we will have bigger crowd than you later on :*

R: If you're going to put money on that you might as well hand it over now because we are going to kill it today. I'll see you later though, I just found le family.

I put my phone back into my back pocket and got the schedules out.

"RILEY!", Sam ran over and hugged me, followed by Evan.

"Let go of me so I can give you special gifts", I took the lanyard and schedules out and handed them one each. I also gave two lanyard to my parents.

"Wait, so we can go backstage with these?", my dad asked. 

"Of course, I'm not just gonna make you sit in a crowd with hundreds of people and expect you to enjoy yourselves".

"Ok well me and your mother are going to lay in the daycare parent thing until you go on. Just let us know and we will be straight there", my dad said.
