Chapter 3

 DAY ONE OF WARPED TOUR

  I woke to loud noises coming from the hallway of our bus. Today was the first day of Warped and everyone was freaking out and getting ready. We heard that our set was being filmed today for a live stream.

  "Riley get up we have to get ready, our set is in a half hour", Dustin ripped my curtain open. He stood there with only one foot in his basketball shorts and wearing his tank top that he wore yesterday. I rolled out of my bunk and grabbed my bag that has my shirts in it. I put a tie-dyed shirt on and some black shorts. I stole one of Asher's baseball caps. It was incredibly hot outside today so Hunter decided to wear his infamous "cake" booty shorts. We tried  throwing them out, but then he tweeted about loosing his favorite shorts and at one of our signings a fan bought him another pair.

"Okay, whatever let's goooo" Asher started to get really ansy. He gets so excited everytime  we have to play a show.

We walked out of the bus and over the the Journey stage, where we were gonna play. There were alot of crew members and cameras pointed towards the stage. We were  told to just act like the cameras weren't there  at all. That's exactly what we did.

For our first set ever on warped, it was amazing. The crowd knew most of the lyrics and jumped around. Even some of the bands on Warped checked us out which was really cool. We saw Derek and Evan from State Champs and Benn from Crown the Empire. We walked off of the stage and I handed my bass to our tour manager, Carter.

"Don't forget about the signing at 4", Carter told us once we put our instruments away.

"We Won't", Hunter said.

On the barricade, fans held out their phones and sharpies waiting for us to come over and say hi. I mean we weren't gonna say no. Alec and Asher were the most social. They could talk to people for hours and hours. It's worse when they are drunk.

After going down the line of fans, Dustin and I went to catch We  the Kings, set before our signing. We basically grew up listening to these guys and to be able to see them live was amazing. Me and Dustin even watched all of Charles, Danny's and Travis' vlogs on Youtube. We haven't missed a vlog yet. After their set, we went over to our tent where Hunter was. Hunter's brother, Derek came along and helped us with selling merch.

" Where were you guys?", Hunter and Derek looked at us disapprovingly.

"At the We the Kings set, why do you wanna know?", they both too their sunglasses off and laughed.

"I don't know, but have you seen Alec and Asher because our signing is in 25 minutes", right when he asked, Alec and Asher were running to the tent with two bags.

"We thought it would be fun to give treats to our fans, so we got two bags of heart shaped lollipops."

"Whatever lets go we're late", Carter led us to Journeys tent , that was across the venue.

When we got to the tent, there was a tent wrapped across. Nobody really expected all these people to come to our signing.

"We might need more lollipops", Alec smiled and walked to the first seat of the table. I sat in between Asher and Dustin.

Asher and Alec started throwing the lollipops at the fans. It was quite amusing. They passed the posters for us to sign and my hand hurt by the first couple posters. One fan even made a drawing of one of our group photos. I thanked her and signed her poster, which I left a little drawing. We recieved a few letters and fans even brought me bags of sour gummy worms. I loved when fans brought me sour gummy worms.
