Current location: the office - Ladysmith

9:34 am

We made it to the office without much trouble. Except for that we had to take down a few undead.

"Look around, maybe someone's in here?" i said to john as i grabbed a phone from the wall and dialed 911

But all I got was nothing. "Damn it!" I yell as i threw the phone to the ground.

"No one is here!" John said as he approached me.

"What if were the only ones" john implied glumly

"No, it's a big school, there has to be someone!" I tried comforting him but I knew we hadn't seen a single survivor.

"How are we going-" John was interrupted by a sound of rustling. The sound was coming from the principal's office. I pulled out my glock and approached the door.

"Ready?" I whispered to John And he nodded at me, i kicked the door open and aimed the glock at the source of the sound.

"Dad?" I said with both surprise and shock as my father stood there at his desk putting papers into a cardboard box, he looked as shocked as us.

"Good to see you among the living," he said as his features went neutral.

"What the hell is going on?!" I asked as I put away my glock.

"Honestly i have zero idea" Ron said calmly as he sat into his chair

Ron pulled out a magnum from inside his desk and sat it on the desk.

"All phone lines have been severed, but I know them," Ron said, leaning back in his chair.

"There is a way out through the weight room" Ron said as he opened a drawer and pulled out a military walkies talkie and handed it to me.

"I'll watch you through the security footage and lead through the school" Ron said as he then pulled out a couple magnum rounds and loaded them into the magnum chamber.

"Before you go, where is your sister?" Ron asked me as he closed the chamber of the magnum.

"She... shes gone" i said

Ron mumbled something under his breath before looking back at us "i need you two to cut through the theater, theirs people hiding there"

John and I left Ron in the office, "look!" John said as he pointed at the front doors vestibule we saw someone inside the doors trying to get in. As we approached we realized who it was.

"Mrs Bankel!" me and john both said at the same time.

"You gotta get me outta here!" she said freaked out. We saw there was someone else in there with her. Her son Adam was sitting in the corner of the vestibule. He was turning...

"I don't think your son's doing too good there," John said worriedly.

"Just get me the hell out of here!" Mrs Bankel yelled angrily

Suddenly there was a loud honk and squeal from outside.

"Oh shit!" we all said in unison as we saw a school bus speeding towards the front doors vestibule.

"Get me the hell out of here!!!" Mrs Bankel screamed. But it was too late the bus crashed into the vestibule.

John and I went flying back as the bus exploded upon impact, shaking the school violently. I must have cracked a rib because damn it hurt like hell! I laid there against the wall covered in rubble unable to move. The whole front of the school was bright red and smelt like burning rubber.

"John! You okay?!" I yelled out. I heard a groan and a moan from the fire of the vestibule.

"Oh my god!" I cried as I saw Mrs. Bankel step out from the burning vestibule. Her whole body was consumed by fire. She stepped forward groaning in pain and misery. She reached out for me.

"Verdammt, du Noir..." she groaned as she inched closer. But suddenly an undead Adam leaped at her and started chewing down as the flames consumed both beings.

"Jason!" John suddenly grabbed me by the shoulders and dragged me out of the rubble. I stood up and shook off the pieces of dirt and debris.

"Come on!" John said as he ran towards the theater doors. From behind us I heard and saw about twenty plus undead running towards us.

"Shit!" I yelled as we ran into the theater and slammed the glass doors shut. The undead ran up to the doors and stared at us from beyond the glass. And now I have a better look at them.

Their hair was all gone, their skin was peeling, their eyes were yellow, their fingers were claws, their teeth were sharp blades, and they made clicking sounds as if they were communicating.

One of the undead flicked their long thin tongue like a lizard. What the hell! Their tongue flicked across the glass.

"What the fuck" john said as we watched the undead lick the glass. Its tongue retreated back into its mouth and for some reason it smiled at us.

"What are those things?" john asked me

What are they? Their skin isn't falling off their shedding like a lizard! Under the fresh skin I could see dark green scales.

"Their lizards..." I said, they were anthropomorphic lizards.

"I say we call em leapers" john said

"Leapers that work for me" I said, I forgot we had guns for a moment there. I checked if they were still there and sure enough they were there. I pulled out my glock and backed away from the door. The leapers watched us with grins on their peeling faces.

Suddenly there was a beep from the walkie talkie

"What the hell happened!" my father asked through the radio.

"I have no clue" i said

"But we did find something out, there not zombies anthropomorphic lizards..."

"Lizards..." he said almost as if he knew already.

"Listen, we're in the theater, what next?" i asked

Suddenly he didn't say anything ... there was static

"Shit..." i grumbled putting away the radio

"I guess we're on our own Jason!" john said enthusiastically

"So be it we fight.'' I raised my glock and walked further into the theater away from the leapers who were now laughing.

Something isn't right...
