IV. The Prophecy
A few days ago.
As Light walked down the hallway, Heid suddenly slipped beside him, throwing an arm casually over his shoulder, catching Light off guard. Heid grinned, his eyes glinting with mischief as he tapped Light's forehead with a light finger. "Rise and shine, Light... You seem lost in a dream," Heid teased with a playful smirk. Light chuckled softly.
They went to their classes after.
After their class, Light made his way to the library, where he found Heid once again, absorbed in the same book—Omnipresent Watcher: Eye of The Multiverse. "Still with that book?" Light asked, an eyebrow raised. Heid nodded without looking up.
"You said you couldn't understand the script," Light remarked.
"I'm not reading the words," Heid replied, his eyes fixed on the images. "I'm trying to uncover something hidden in them."
Light, puzzled, reached for the book. The moment he opened its pages, a vision burst before his eyes— The Prophecy of the Divine Angel, a being foretold to annihilate not just the world, but all realms, every timeline entwined with the multiverse. Light recoiled in shock, his power surging as the book flew from his hands.
“That… that can't be real, right?” Light stammered, trembling.
Heid, now perplexed, asked, "Why? What's wrong?"
Light shook his head, unwilling to explain. He turned on his heel and left the library, but Heid was not far behind.
Heid reach for the hand, he grab Light's. "What's with the book, Light?” Heid pressed, his voice tinged with concern.
“This is about the angel—Caerus Divinus-Celeste,” Light finally confessed, his voice low. “We thought he was a symbol of greatness, but... he’s destined to destroy everything. Everything we know."
Heid blinked in surprise, then laughed softly, dismissively. "It's just a book. A prophecy isn’t set in stone, you know? Don’t let it rattle you.” Heid said, with a touch of concern and restful tone.
But sensing Light's unrest, Heid shifted the mood with a grin. "You’ve got quite the power there, huh? How about a sparring match? I want to see those wings of yours—dark wings, right?"
“Eh? You’ll be in for a surprise," Light replied with a confident smile.
They made their way to a vast, open shoreline, where the wind danced with the sea’s whispers. Light ascended to the sky, a radiant glow enveloping him. His wings unfurled, not dark as Heid had expected, but blazing with brilliance—shimmering white, streaked with golden hues. Light’s aura spilled forth like a beacon, the light washing over Heid, illuminating every strand of his hair, making his eyes glimmer as though touched by the heavens.
Heid stood in awe, breathless. "Light… you're not just powerful… you're celestial. An angel," he whispered, his voice full of wonder.
