I lay beside Daryl who's getting his wounds treated by Hershel, damn is everyone gettin' treated around here? I guess so.

My back leg was wrapped in a simple gauze — I sprained it but it'll heal in a day or two, I guess I'll be bedresting then. "Found it washed up on the creek bed right there." Daryl explains to Rick while pointing at the map. " She must've dropped it crossing 'ere somewhere."

"Cuts the grid almost in half." Rick says, looking at Shane who sits on a chair beside the bed, as for Rick crouches in front of the bed.

"Yeah, you're welcome." Daryl snarks. Hissing when a needle pierce through his skin.

Rick looks up at Hershel, " How's he looking?"

"I had no idea we'd be going through the antibiotics so quickly." The farmer replies while finishing up Daryl's wound. " Any idea what happened to my horse?" He asks Daryl while washing his hands.

"Yeah, the one who almost killed me? If it's smart, it left the country." Dary responds with another snarky attitude.

"We call that one Nelly, as in nervous Nelly." Hershel says. I could see Daryl roll his eyes at that, I just gave him a side-eye look. I told y'all.  "I could have told you she'd throw you if you'd bothered to ask."

"Yeah, well, she ain't as bright as her." He tilts his head in a gesture at me.

"Well, not every creature is born smart." Hershel comments. " It's a wonder you people have survived this long."

An hour later I was escorted out of the room for Daryl to get some rest, I stepped outside to see Snowy in the field—He was basking in the sun that slowly setting down through the horizons, his light brown eyes met mine. "How is he doing?" He asked.

I lay beside him, "He'll live. He's a tough boy." I responded.

Snowy nods, "That's good. I can see why you care for him, and he for you."

He was right; We care for each other more deeply than any man with their dog, he's family and we need each other even if we liked it or not.

"Yeah. He's family—We care about each other, we only have one another." And I guess Merle...if he's alive.

Snowy just stares at me, I see a glimmer of something in his eyes. "I'm glad he meant something to you."

"What? The Green's don't?" I teased.

He laughs, "No they do. But I've never had a type of bond like yours. It's..intriguing."

"Oh. Don't worry, you'll find it soon." I acknowledge.

I don't know what I did but I pounced on Snowy as our noses touched, I lick his upper lip—He pushed off of me with a playful growl, I giggled as I took off with Snowy chasing me.
We pounce around the farm until I stumble on my legs like a newborn deer, making Snowy look over me, the illumination of the moonlight makes his fur glow—Either ethereal or a ghost.

Soon, we've mated under the stars.

An hour later we headed back inside the farm to have some dinner — Daryl was asleep so I just ate in the diner with Snowy, the house was quiet except for the sound of utensils against plates and subtle chewing noises.

Then, Glenn spoke up " Does anybody know how to play guitar?" He asked. Everybody went quiet. "Dale found a cool one—Somebody's got to know how to play."

"Otis did." Patrica responds.

"Yes, and he was very good too." Hershel responds.

Well that sucks. Awkward and sucks.

Daryl didn't get any better until two days later, I've mostly stayed around him (even though he didn't like that). Although I was very glad that Carl was alright, now the young boy was being taught how to use a gun, much to his mother's displeasement.

The Archer and I sat out the overcast morning eating some breakfast that Carol kindly cooked for us. It wasn't much but it'll do — I noticed that Rick was miles away by the look on his face, like he didn't get much sleep last night. He didn't come back to reality when his wife gently spoke to him.

I also notice Shane looking at them with anger or jealousy in his eyes. The hell's wrong with him?

Suddenly Glenn spoke up, " Um, guys." All of us looked at him, waiting for him to speak. "So..." He trails off, trying to find the words. He takes in a breath, " The barn is full of walkers."

What did he just say?
