A/N: Forgot mention this in the first chapter but major spoilers for those who haven't seen The Walking Dead. If you do want to watch this show, it's on Netflix. I recommend watching it now before Netflix decides to remove it.

I watch Daryl pace back and forth in front of the severed hand, his breathing becoming more labored from trying to reel his emotions. I simply stood next to Glenn with my ears pinned back and my tail down while watching Daryl, with a growl he raised his crossbow and aimed it at T-Dog while Rick pointed his Python at Daryl's temple.

Seeing this, I bare my teeth and readied myself to pounce on the cop.

"I won't hesitate." Rick spoke. "I don't care if every walker in the city hears it. I'll kill your dog too."

Well that's messed up.

Daryl's breathing becomes calm after realizing Rick is being honest and lowers the crossbow while Rick lowers his gun.

I step forward and place my head on his leg, my way of saying that I'm here — he stares down at me before saying, "You got a—You got a durag or somethin'?" He questions, his face neutral. T-Dog stares at him before reluctantly giving him a blue durag. Daryl grabs it and shakes whatever's on it previously he trek over towards the hand and picks it up with said durag. " I guess the saw blade was too dull for the handcuffs — Ain't that a bitch."

He wraps the hand in the durag and proceeds to put it in Glenn's backpack, " He must have used a tourniquet—maybe his belt. Be much more blood if he didn'." — I sniffed the air as my heterochromia eyes landed on a trail of blood that headed towards another door that's opened, I let out a bark to alert the boys.

Rick was the first to walk towards me, when he saw the blood and a door that opened. "Good girl." He comments while patting my head while I whine at that.

We headed down the ladder that lead into an office building, I follow the scent until I pause when I took in the smell of rotten — I let out a snarl when I saw an undead but luckily Daryl shot his crossbow as the arrow went through its head as it collapse to the ground — I walk towards the corpse and pull the arrow from its head.

We continued forth where we went inside the main office when we saw two dead walkers, I guess he can handle himself even with one hand. "Had enough in him to take out these two sumbitches. One handed." Daryl spoke while reloading his crossbow.

I handed him his now saliva covered arrow, he let out a groan of disgust while grabbing his arrow. "Thanks." He grimaced.

I grumble when we continue on and venture into the kitchen, the scent of blood merged into the smell of burnt skin, I grumble and shake my head. Sure enough the kitchen stove was splashed with blood with the stove on, "What's that burned stuff?" Glenn asked.

"Skin." Rick replies. "He cauterized the stump."

"Jesus." I mutter.

"Told you he was tough. Nobody can kill Merle but Merle." Daryl established.
