Carag P.O.V

I'm sailing across the sea on my boat. The water around me is greenish. I can't see the sea floor. A few dolphins are watching me. I check to see if the dolphins are Seawalkers, but they're just ordinary animals. After about an hour I see a huge wall of fog.

This is the wall of fog that surrounds the island of the black dragons!

I put the oar on the boat and lie down. If that what is written on this map is true, then the best way to get through the wall of fog is to simply let myself be carried along by the rapids there.

Apparently someone wanted to go to this island by themselve!

Only a few seconds later, the wall of fog envelops my boat and I can't see anything anymore. The rapids pull my boat back and forth. Water splashes into my boat from all sides.

Aaah! Help!

But all of a sudden, all the chaos is over. My boat rocks a little as it arrives on the beach of the island of the black dragons. Or as the Indonesians call this island "Pulau Kematian Hitam" which in English means "Island of the Black Death". At least according to this map, which I trust more when it comes to translating than my nonexistent Indonesian knowledge.

Why is there an English translation on this map when it was probably made by the man who gave it to me? As someone who speaks Indonesian, he doesn't need the English translation!

I get out of my boat and walk onto the beach. There are large poles on the beach with skulls impaled on them.

"Wow. "Hospitality" seems to be a big deal for them," I mutter in a sarcastic tone.

Those are the ones who made it to this island and never came back! And soon my head will probably be impaled on a pole like that too!

I turn around, bump into a woman and fall over.

Why am I bumping into everything and everyone today?!

I rub my aching head, on which a small bump has already formed. The woman helps me up, worried. She has light blonde hair and dark green eyes.

Tempest!

Dragon's sister is wearing a white T-shirt with a black dragon on it. She's also wearing a blue jacket and grey sweatpants. She actually looks pretty much exactly like the picture.

"Everything OK, boy?" Tempest asks me worriedly. And she's even saying it in English and not in Indonesian. Apparently she hasn't noticed that I'm human and thinks I'm a black dragon.

Or has she noticed and is just pretending not to have noticed so that she can find out something about me? Although, she'd just have to read my thoughts to find out!

Tempest looks at me questioningly.„Is everything fine with you now, or not?”

"Yes, I'm fine," I say quickly.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Carag."

"I've never seen you here before. And I don't know a black dragon called Carag."

"Yes, um. I'm not from here.  I stayed in Greece back then and mingled with the people there.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yes. Can I go now?”

“Yes, of course you can go.”

I hurry to get away from the beach as quickly as possible. And then hide behind one of the many trees.

Tempest never believed me in a million years! I didn’t even believe it myself!

And almost as if I had predicted it, I hear Tempest calling:

“Saphira! Come here!”

The woman she's talking to is running across the beach to Tempest. Saphira, Dragon’s bodyguard. Just like Tempest, she’s wearing a white T-shirt with a black dragon on it, a blue jacket and grey sweatpants. There’s also a belt around her waist with two different sized holders attached to it. A large holder for her sword and a small holder for her dagger. Diamonds flash on the golden handle of the dagger. Her hair reaches down to her shoulders. In the picture it only almost reached her shoulders

Tempest whispers something to Saphira. I don't understand what she's saying, but when she points in my direction, I already have an idea of what she said.

Damn!

I run away. Even without looking back, I know that Saphira is following me. But after a few minutes, I can't hear her anymore.

I've lost her! Now I have to find a shelter!

I walk around the island a bit until I eventually find a house.

Perfect!

I enter the house. Everything in the house is nice and tidy. There's a TV on the wall to my right. There's a sofa on the wall to my left. Opposite the entrance door is a door that leads to another room. There's a display case to the left and right of this door.

I go to the display case and take a closer look at the carved figures in it. There's a puma, a bison and a dragon. But before I can open the display case, I hear the entrance door being opened.

I slowly turn around. Saphira is standing in the doorway. She has drawn her dagger and is running her index finger over the sharp blade.

"That's unbelievable. I'm looking for you all over the island and then you end up in my house," she says, smiling.

"Oh, that's your house? I must have got the house wrong. I'll be going then," I say, trying to sound confident, but I don't really manage it.

I'm already walking towards the door, but Saphira blocks my way. Then she pushes me against the wall.

"Oh no. You're not going anywhere, man. First you tell me what you want here."

"Will you let me go then?"

"Maybe. It depends on whether you're telling me the truth or not."

OK. She won't let me go! I can't tell her the truth!

"Well, actually I don't want anything here.  I came to this island by chance.”
