Walking back towards his apartment, a vague look in his eyes, Sherlock reminisced the events of the night. About how he came to realize his feelings were driven and raw for her, yearning for her presence near his bleeding heart.
That realisation hitting him like a violent storm would hit a defenseless boat, leaving wondering what could've happened more to prevent their doom. His sentiments were the same but could she open her heart again after all the hurt he had inflicted her.
He'd walk, aiming mindlessly into the route, guided by the unconsciousness of his soul. Memories of what he remembered flooded through his mind. He'd speak as if he'd forgotten, but every single moment, every breath and heartbeat of his had carved all the moments he'd spent with her.

Start the music here ;)...
Strolling together in the quietness of the early morning, Sherlock and y/n's face were adorned with a peaceful expression. They watched the sun rise while they held hands, enjoying the proximity that they shared.
"This is nice, don't you think?" Asked y/n as she watched the scenery before them.
A hum of approval followed her question as he was too busy observing the golden light that was decorating the features of the woman he had grown fond of over the last months.
"Nothing else? Where is the grown Sherlock Holmes who never ceases with his unfinishing dialogues?"
"He's busy admiring you. I actually find your beauty to truly amaze my ever working brain." She'd laugh at his words.
"Truly ever the charmer, Mr. Holmes." Y/n said while looking up at him with an arched eyebrow and a teasing facial expression.
"You must know by now, how I am with those I truly accept."
"I do, in fact." The young woman replied, walking down the small hill they had encountered. She turned around facing him while walking backwards. "It's rather pleasant."
"Is that so? Is it as pleasant as walking down this path without a goal?"
The artist nodded. "Especially when it's with such good company." She added, while quickly missing the softening of Sherlock's eyes on her.
Oh to be adored by the one your heart beats for.

After a long and peaceful journey together, they had decided to continue their day into their apartment, lounging lazily on the couch. Sherlock was sitting down comfortably, a simple blouse with a few buttons detached along with a cozy pair of trousers.
While y/n laid her head on his thigh, he passed his hand through her hair, soothing away any worries that may have occurred. She rested there snuggly enveloped in his warmth, relishing on the sweet moment between them.
Speaking softly, the young woman broke off the silence, opening her eyes to look up at the man she had grown to admire. "I never asked, but what is your favorite color?"
Sighing in content, Sherlock looked down into her eyes, speaking with his deep composed voice. "I don't have one."
Frowning at that answer, y/n sat up, quickly turning around to contemplate his answer. "Everyone should have one."
A small smile adorned the detective's lips as he met her gaze once again and placed his arm behind her head on the couch's backrest. "Well, what's yours?"
Shivering slightly at the care she felt in his voice, y/n pushed her head back to rest on his bicep. "Easy enough, mine's y/f/c."
"Then mine too."
A small incredulous laugh fell out of her lips as she fiddled with the loose thread of the hem of her shirt. "You cannot say that, it has to be proper to you for a valuable reason."
He nodded, paying all attention to every mimic of hers. "I do know that. And, that's exactly why y/f/c's my favorite too. It's yours and you're valuable to me."

Papers scattered around as Sherlock ruthlessly searched the apartment, looking for any signs... Any signs of where she could've gone, where she would have disappeared to.
Half-written notes and partitions, one of their favorite poetry books, her collection of tea... Yet, no sign of her. 'She couldn't have gone that far. She must be somewhere outside.' He thought in vain.
His clothes fell onto the floor as he searched their shared dresser finding less clothes of hers that he had seen yesterday morning. Gone... Frustration grew in the detective mind. What kind of detective would he be if he couldn't even do his own profession well?
He was solving crimes everyday, finding people was easy enough then why couldn't he find something that could lead him on her track. He grew desperate, scattering objects around him as he looked into every room.
Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room, kitchen, living room, deskroom, music room, bedroom, bathroom. Again and again, every damn chamber finds no trace of her.
Like she never existed, like all those months, those wonderful months meant nothing. Everything had gone to shit. It went so fast, how could he have known she'd disappear the moment he left the apartment.
If he had known, he would've apologized, and found something to show her how much she meant to him. Brought her favorite flowers, booked the fanciest restaurant, bought her new music sheets to learn,. He would have-
He acted like the worst scum of the earth. To the only person that he'd mentally sworn not to hurt. Not to be the careless asshole he sometimes was. But he had made a mistake, a terrible one and that one single thing had a price. Her.

His steps echoed in the emptiness that the night provided to the usually busy streets as he reached his front door. Getting out of this trance of memories from the past, he lazily grabbed his keys and pushed the door open.
No matter what, he still had a case to solve. And fast.
