MELANIE ENJOYED SKIPPING CLASSES, especially when it was raining, she didn't do it often but when she did she could just enjoy the peace and quiet, having her headphones on and listening to some music as she studied some of her spells, it brought some sort of comfort to her.
She didn’t care that she would get in trouble for skipping class, she could just tell Principal Weems that she skipped because of her mental health and the older would believe her. It wasn't like it was a lie, she only skipped class when she was overwhelmed, and she was in fact overwhelmed right now.
The brunette had to move spots multiple times because Xavier kept trying to find her, it wasn't like she hated the guy, but she seriously got stalker vibes from him, not to mention there were rumors going around that he had a crush on her which she absolutely hated, he wasn't her type at all, she liked girls and she knows that very well, hell most of the school probably knows that too, but he can't seem to get the hint, the only reason she didn’t let Yoko attack him yet was because he is friends with Ajax.
From the corner of her eye Melanie could see Wednesday Addams, her roommate, walking from class with her umbrella, she had a somewhat disturbed or morbid expression on her face.
The witches eyes widened as she was one of the stone gargoyle shaking, the girl quickly stood up and practically ran to Wednesday.
"Wednesday!" Melanie called out as she ran to her, pushing her out of the way before the stone gargoyle could hit her, both of them falling to the ground.
"Wednesday! Melanie!" She heard behind her and saw none other than Xavier Thorpe, the guy she was trying to avoid.

Melanie felt awkward around the boy as the two sat in the nurse's office waiting for Wednesday to wake up. Xavier tried to make small talk but Melanie ignored him the whole time, worrying about Wednesday and playing with her ring, which she always did when she was overwhelmed, stressed or worried.
The girl couldn't help but blush as she looked down at the sleeping girl, she was absolutely beautiful, she looked so peaceful, almost dead, probably because she had her arms crossed over her chest, but the brunette wasn't surprised really, Wednesday was weird but not in a bad way, at least not to Melanie.
