3rd person POV:
1 week.
1 week had gone by and there was no contact between them and jungkook had not expected him to feel as crazy as he did because it shouldn't even be a big deal. It's not even that long, it's just seven days. Just seven fucking days. He shouldn't be going crazy just because he hadn't been in contact with an alpha he met like just a month ago.
But he was and it was taking a toll on him. He had been on the edge for the entire week.
After that day when he had asked the alpha to come over, he had left after Eunchae had caught them in a rather suspicious position and jungkook had asked him to leave without any words exchanged between them.
The next morning, jungkook had expected his daughter to ask him about it, he had not slept that entire night because he was overthinking about thousands of scenarios and none of them was good. But the questions never came. Each day passed by and he expected the questions but it never happened.
All he got was suspicious glances towards him and these eyes that were so similar to his own filled with an indescribable look that he couldn't make any sense of. It bothered him. The silence bothered him. It was eating him inside.
And this morning something inside him snapped. He had just served breakfast for the two and his daughter was sitting right before him, quiet. It was too quiet and it made something churn inside of jungkook.
"Do you want to live with your father permanently?" Not the best way to start the conversation but that's the main thing that's been bothering him for the one week mostly other than the fact that taehyung had not contacted him.
"What? Where is that coming from?" Eunchae had not started eating yet, busy on her phone which she put down right away and looked up at him with a frown on her face at the sudden question.
"Answer it." Was what he replied.
"No? I like being here with you? Do you want that? Do you not want me anymore?" This time she looked hurt instead of confused as she asked which jungkook shook his head at immediately.
"That's not what I'm talking about. Maybe you don't want a father like me? Even minji didn't come over this week, neither did you ask me to drop you over at hers. It must be embarrassing for you... because of what I've been doing. Mingyu is better at that. He has Wonwoo, the same age as him and not someone who's your best friend's brother." Jungkook couldn't look into Eunchae's eyes anymore. He felt so ashamed now that he worded it out loud. He ran both of his hands over his face when the girl didn't say anything to that for so long.
"Do you really think of me like that, papa?" She asked after a while. The food remained untouched between them on the table.
"I don't know what I think of you, Eunchae-ah. I don't know what you think of me as a parent, not enough to know how you've been reacting to what you saw that day. I just know that you're mad at me but I can't stand this silence anymore. You should yell at me, you should tell me how much I've disappointed you.. please." Which was why he hadn't contacted taehyung first. He should stop, that's the right thing to do. He has a daughter to take care of. He has a daughter who should be his first priority. But he felt a lot more than crazy with the fact that taehyung didn't try to contact him either. He's a hypocrite, he knows.
"And why should I do that? Why do you think I'm mad at you?" Eunchae sounded pissed, he has never seen her pissed. She's always such a nice, polite and understanding daughter, he has never seen an ounce of negative emotions in her face towards him.
"You saw what you saw, Eunchae. Have seen it before too. You're probably disgusted in me and I get it. You can tell me how you feel about this." Jungkook sounded devastated as he said that and his daughter looked even more pissed.
