Lorie: "No, I was just looking for the field of flowers, forget-me-not."

Demon: "And how do you know about the existence of those flowers? Those are Vampire flowers." Lorie: Well, I'm a Vampire and my brother told me about it this morning. I tried looking for them in the forest until I saw you."

Demon: "Then it would be better to start from the beginning: I am the guardian of the flower field. If you want to collect the forget-me-not, you will first have to pass the tasks. If at the end of the tasks you will prove to be worthy, then you can collect them. Otherwise, the curse will get you and you will fall into a 100-year deep sleep. If you will be able to collect the flowers, you could give them to those you love. They will be able to make any wish and it will come true but remember: during your tasks, you will not receive any help. If someone helps you, the task will be automatically cancelled and you will no longer have the right to pick the flowers."

Demon paused on these words and looked straight into the little girl's eyes to see her reaction. Lorie stood still, unmoved. Her gaze was indecipherable.

Lorie: "Okay, I accept."

Demon: "Are you really sure about that, Lorie? Why do you want to do it and risk so much? If you fail the tasks, the consequences will be severe for you."

Lorie: "I'm not afraid, I want to do it. I know I can do it: I want to bring those flowers to my brothers as a gift and make them happy."

Demon: "Yes, I see. You seem determined but it won't be enough: you will have to prove that you have strength, courage, intelligence, sincerity and self-confidence. Good luck."

Lorie: "I'm ready."

Demon: "Do you see that path in front of you?"

Lorie: "Yes."

Demon:" Go down that road until you come to the entrance to a massive labyrinth. Only one road is the right one, the others lead to a dead end. I will wait for you at the exit of the labyrinth, if you manage to pass the task.

Lorie walked down that road without looking back.

At that same moment, it was already time for dinner at the manor. Nicolae went to Lorie's room.

"Lorie, come. Dinner is ready." he told her. Nicolae knocked on the door several times but, receiving no answers, he opened the door and saw that no one was there. Nicolae, thinking it was a joke, started looking for her all over the room, in her walk-in closet and even in the bathroom but the little girl was nowhere to be found. Nicolae decided to look for her throughout the manor but, after half an hour, he still hadn't found her. He was starting to get really worried and decided to go and call his brothers.

He went to Peter's room first.
