Peter: "Nicolae, are you okay? What's happening? What's with that worried face?"

Nicolae replied: "Peter, have you seen Lorie anywhere?"

Peter: "No, I haven't seen her since this afternoon."

Nicolae: "She's not here, she seems to have disappeared."

Peter: "Be calm, Nicolae. She'll be around here somewhere, you know Lorie likes to play pranks."

Nicolae: "I thought so too, Peter, but she's not in any of her usual places. I'm starting to worry."

Peter: "Let's start looking for her, she is just hiding."

Nicolae: "Okay, Peter, thanks. Let's go and call Drogo too."

Peter: "Sure."

Thus the two brothers crossed the long corridor and went to knock on the door of Drogo's room.

Nicolae: "Drogo, come on, open the door. It's urgent."

Drogo: "Nicolae, Peter, what is all this noise?"

Nicolae: "Just why you didn't want to open the door?"

Drogo: "What? I was just listening to some music."

Peter: "Drogo, have you seen Lorie by any chance?"

Drogo: "Of course not, I haven't seen her since this morning. Why? What has the little pest done?"

Nicolae: "She is missing, we can't find her anywhere. Help us look for her."

Drogo: "Come on, Nicolae. You must be exaggerating, as usual. She must be hiding somewhere."

Nicolae: "No, I'm telling you that this time it's different."

Peter: "Come on Drogo, don't make a fuss and help us look for her. The sooner we find her, the sooner you can get back to your things."

Drogo snorted, rolling his eyes, and then said: "Okay, as long as we get moving."

So the Bartholy brothers began looking for little Lorie throughout the manor, even in the attic and cellar, even though it was forbidden to go there. They also looked for her in the garden but there was no trace of Lorie.

The three brothers began to think why the little girl could have left. It wasn't like her to leave her manor, knowing that she was forbidden to go out alone.

They wondered if, by any chance, one of them might have offended her but the boys couldn't think of anything. They went back into the house, sat on the sofa and started thinking about what to do to look for Lorie.

Nicolae: "We must not tell our father anything until we gather more information."

Peter: "Oh no, for goodness sake, he would destroy us in a second if something serious happened to her."
