Expedition day.

Everyone was aligned in front of the gate. Y̶o̶u̶ ̶w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶x̶i̶o̶u̶s̶. You were excited. Y̶o̶u̶ ̶w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶s̶c̶a̶r̶e̶d̶. You want to go out. Y̶o̶u̶'̶r̶e̶ ̶s̶c̶a̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶s̶i̶d̶e̶. You're brave.

In the formation you were next to Eren, just a few centimeters in front. You looked straight at the gate. You're happy. You can finally be free. You'll be in danger.

Your mind was running faster than ever, you had to calm down. Devon on the other side, seemed bored about the whole situation.

Levi glanced back at the formation, he eyed you, seeing you weren't the calm (Y/n) you would usually be. You noticed him looking at you, so you looked back. He then made a move with his hand, as if he was telling you 'At ease.'

"It's almost time!" You heard, Levi turned back to look in front of him.

"We've driven away all the Titans in the area." You heard again.

You looked at Eren, he looked back. You could see he was also nervous about going outside. After a few seconds you two nodded at each other, as if you were agreeing on something, then bumped your fists.

"Thirty seconds until we open the gate!" Eren then saw something behind you, so you turned your head as well.

Two kids were looking outside the window. Two boys. There were smiling, happy to see the Survey Corps. Talking about the emblem on your backs. They were so excited to see everyone aligned, it made your heart melt.

Eren also smiled at the view, while you waved at them. When then saw you waved, they both smiled even more, one seemed to have fainted while the other waved excitedly.

"It's time!" You turned around to face the gate, gripping on the reins of your horse. Devon also lifting his head up, finally eager for some action.

"Humanity will take another step forward. Show me what you can do!" Then everyone lifted their fists up, some having their blades in hand.

"Open the gate!" You looked at the gate, slowly lifting up.

'Finally, I won't be caged up.'

"Advance!" Commander Erwin yelled, and everyone began galloping.

"We will now begin the 57th expedition beyond the walls!" Erwin yelled again.

"Onward!"

While passing thru the outskirts of Wall Rose, you looked at the damaged house, vacant, empty of human life. It angered you. They angered you. All you could feel towards them was hatred, and the fact there was this possibility you could turn into one... it saddened you.

"Ahead, to the left, a 10-meter class!" You heard Hange yell from the front, Devon whinnied and started going faster in excitement, but you had to stop him from doing so. You can't break the formation.

The support team advanced to take it down while the formation advanced.

"Sir, can they..." You heard Eren start speaking, so you side-eyed him while still paying attention in front of you.
