His hand slid in mine as our fingers interlocked.

"You know you aren't that bad." He mused, glancing down at me, his eyes scanning over my body.

"I can't be if you just kissed me." I laughed.

"I would do it again if I could."

"What's stopping you?"

He stopped walking a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

"You'd kiss me again?" He asked quietly.

"If all your kisses are like that, then yes." I replied.

I woke up bolting upright. My hair, clinging to my face, my breathing heavy.

"You good?" Nidal asked from his gaming chair, looking up from his phone.

No. No. That was not a dream. Please.

"What happened?" I asked, my voice strained.

Nidal sent a confused look over to me.

"Me being the hero that I am saved you from drowning." He smirked.

Great. It was a dream.

"I uh, nothing happened?" I questioned, hoping this was some funny prank.

He raised a brow.

"Are you good? Did you hit your head or something in the pool?"

I shook my head.

"No. I'm just trying to figure out reality." I muttered.

"Hm, okay then." He focused his attention back on his phone.

I let out a sigh. What the hell is wrong with me. I hated Nidal.

I hate Nidal.

Hate.

Hate.

"Y/n? Are you even listening to me?" His voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Uh yeah, what was that?" I answered, finding it difficult to even look at him.

He rolled his eyes, standing up and walking over. I gulped nervously, remembering my dream. His hands on my hips. Lips on mine. Snap out of it, Y/n! It didn't really happen....

"I asked if Jiji had tried to help." He said.

"Wha- oh no. She just laughed." I replied, fiddling with my ring.

Nidal frowned, a dark look coming into his eyes.

"She did what! That mother - "

"It's fine. She didn't know I couldn't swim." I said hurriedly.

"Still Y/n she could've seen you were struggling." He snapped, walking out. I sighed. God, what was that boy doing to me.

Stop Y/n! I hate him. He's an ass. A stick up my ass.

"Y/n, I'm really sorry!" Jiji said, running in and hugging me. Nidal came in behind her a look of silent satisfaction in his eyes.

"Jiji, you're fine. I get it." I replied, patting her back as I hugged her back. She smiled and pulled away relieved.

"Nidal talked some sense into me. I promise if that ever happens again, I will kick their faces in!" She said, grabbing my pinky with hers.

I nodded, grinning. She hugged me once more before walking out. Nidal leant against the door smug.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"There must be something you're staring at me."

"Well done."

I rolled my eyes. Yes. I hate him. Thanks for reminding me, Nidal.
