THE WHITE SHEET laid on a silver table, eliza's dead body hidden beneath the sheet. the sheet pulled off of the women's face, revealing the red hole in the middle of her forehead, and the dried blood that resided around her forehead.

it was a sad scene, one that made colette's heart hurt for chris. she could perfectly remember the day of her fathers funeral, she could remember the feeling of not being able to breath, like her throat was closing in and her heart was being ripped out of her chest.

she watched as he stood leaning against the frame of the boat, keeping his distance from both the rest of the group and his dead mother. the group stood around the small area of the boat, each not knowing what to say.

travis cleared his throat, taking a small step forward, and colette could see the blood on his lip from chris. the boys jaw was clenched as he stared at his mothers body, pain burning deep in his body. colette looked away from the boy, her hands flat on the table she sat atop, sad eyes burning into eliza.

"um you all knew eliza long enough to see what kind of person she was, how devoted she was to her family. she loved to help people. she would help anyone and she did. she was selfless yknow, she would just give from her heart." travis told, pausing as he looked around the group. meeting everyone's eyes who would meet his own, some held sadness, defeat, while one pair in particular held anger, and hatred.

chris's eyes burned deep into his fathers, arms crossed over his chest and his leg up and pushed against the wall behind him. "and she could be fierce. oh my god, it was painful some times." he laughed lightly, a weak smile on his lips as memories resurfaced. he sighed softly, "and the best thing we ever did together was have our son. who she loved more then anything or anyone." travis told, looking up to meet chris's eyes. the boy pushed his hands into his sweater pockets.

the boy slowly pushed himself off the wall, taking slow steps as he clenched his jaw. tears welling in his tears that he had to fight from spilling, nearing the wooden table he covered his mothers face, before lifting the table and aggressively dumping his mothers body into the deep blue ocean. storming off after, colette slowly pushed herself off of the table.

looking between her mother and travis, before slowly following after the boy. "chris wait" she spoke softly as she hurried down the hall after him, he ignored her, shutting the door on her. "chris come on, let me in" colette spoke softly, leaning against the door, trying to listen for the boy that stayed silent, his back leaning against the door. "i know how you feel, and im sorry." she told gently, leaning her back against the door.
