Pain, everyone talks about it, everyone has experienced it once in their life.

My own pain was when they found my friend wills body in the Ravine, he was probably scared, alone, cold..and he was only 12.

And he had his whole life ahead of him, and he couldn't experience life anymore. He was gone..just like that, and he didn't hurt anyone.. he wouldn't hurt a fly. And someone killed him.

I was by a gas station. It had been a few hours since they found will, and I was getting myself something to drink. By drink, I mean alcohol.

I guess my mother was right, I am more like my father than I thought. Seeking alcohol for comfort just like my father, maybe that was a way he coped with everything...now look at me. Just like him.

I brought the can of beer to my lips and was lost in thought. The cold breeze of the fall air hit me, making my hot tears feel cold upon my face.

My face was swollen from crying so much and red, puffy.

I didn't want attention, and I didn't want anyone to notice I was crying.

I then hear footsteps walking towards me. Not wanting to look up, I ignored it.

"You know, drinking is bad for your liver," Steve harrington says to me.

I looked up at him, my face still tears flowing down my face, and my face swollen and red.

Steve had his usual James Dean hair. And he was wearing a blue long sleeve shirt with some blue jeans.

"Don't mind me, im just thinking," I say, looking off to the distance.

He didn't ask when he sat beside me. He just did. He just sat there. No one said a word for a few minutes until he broke the silence.

"I'm sorry about your friend will, I know you two were really close," he says to me.

It shocked me when he said that. Did he mean it?, or was he being a jerk lkle always. And trying to have a laugh at my grief.

"You don't mean that," I say, not believing his words one bit, bringing the beer can to my lips once more.

He didn't say anything. He looked over at me and gave me a serious stare. I looked into his eyes, and I didn't see a hint of deception in his gaze.

"Did you tell Nancy?" I ask him.

He shook his head yes, his gaze tuned back into a serious expression once more.

"Yeah, but..they can't find Barb," he says to me.

My heart breaks even more. First will..now Barb..

"So, I didn't lose only will, I lost Barb too?" I ask him.

He gave me a sympathetic look and looked away quickly.

"Well, find her, you won't lose both of them," He stated.

I know he was trying to make me feel better about the situation. But how could he. No one can.

"I just.. I wanted to check up on you, " He says to me.

I gave him an incredulous look. Why would he want to check up on me.. I'm no one special.

"I'm just going through grief. The best way I can, " I say to him with a fake smile.

He nodded his head, and he got up. And looked down upon me, I was still on the ground and in deep thought.

"You should ditch the alcohol. Come on..I'll give you a ride home. It's dangerous to ride a bike drunk, " he says, trying to make me laugh, I guess.
