Third Person POV:
Lucas stirred awake as the first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains. He stretched and sighed, mentally preparing himself for the day ahead. Today was a bit different; he had decided to take Ella to work with him. He knew it would be a fun change of pace for both of them.
He slipped out of bed quietly, careful not to wake Ella, who had been sleeping in his room for comfort. Heading downstairs, he found Aiden already up, sipping on a cup of coffee and scrolling through his phone.
"Morning, Aiden," Lucas greeted.
"Morning," Aiden replied, looking up. "What's up?"
"I'm taking Ella to work with me today," Lucas said, smiling at the thought. "Just wanted to let you know."
"Cool, she'll love that," Aiden said with a grin.
Lucas then moved to the twins' room. Xander and Xavier were still tangled in their blankets, fast asleep. He gently shook them awake. "Hey, guys. Just letting you know, I'm taking Ella to work today and you need to get up for school."
Xander groaned, rubbing his eyes. "Okay, Lucas."
"Sure thing," Xavier mumbled, half-asleep.
Satisfied, Lucas decided not to call and bother Noah, who was still on a work trip. He headed back to his room, where Ella was still peacefully sleeping. He approached the bed softly, sitting down beside her.
"Ella," he whispered, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "It's time to wake up, sweetheart."
Ella stirred, her eyes fluttering open. She smiled sleepily when she saw Lucas. "Good morning, Lucas."
"Good morning, angel," Lucas said, his heart warming at her smile. "Guess what? You're coming to work with me today."
Her eyes lit up with excitement. "Really?"
"Really," Lucas confirmed, giving her a gentle hug. "Let's get you ready for an adventure."
Ella's POV:
I felt so excited! I quickly got dressed in my favorite dress, and Lucas helped me with my shoes. After a quick breakfast, we got into the car. I love car rides with Lucas because we always have the best talks and listen to my favorite songs.
When we arrived at Lucas's work, everything was so big and shiny. I knew he worked in a fancy school but woah this was cool. Lucas held my hand as we walked inside. "Good morning, everyone! This is my baby sister, Ella," Lucas said, and all his friends smiled at me. They were very nice and said things like, "She's adorable!" and "What a cutie!"
Lucas introduced me to his secretary. She had a big smile and pretty hair. "Hi, Ella! It's so nice to meet you, I'm Alex" Alex said, kneeling down to my level.
"Hi, Alex," I said, feeling a bit shy but excited.
Lucas had to go to a meeting, so he asked Alex to watch me for a little while. "Ella, I'll be back soon, okay? Alex will take good care of you," Lucas said, giving me a hug.
"Okay, Lucas," I said, feeling brave.
Alex took my hand and led me to her desk. "Do you like to draw, Ella?" she asked, pulling out some paper and colored pencils.
"Yes, I love drawing!" I said, my eyes lighting up.
We sat together and started drawing. Alex was really good at drawing animals, and she showed me how to draw a cute kitten. "Look, Ella, this is how you draw the ears," she said, guiding my hand.
