With a newfound determination, the Dark Union began to plot their revenge. They worked in the shadows, sowing seeds of doubt and discord among the heroes and the citizens. The villains spread rumors, using Friendship to whisper lies and create distrust. Old grudges resurfaced, and bonds that had just begun to mend were strained once more.
The heroes felt the shift in the air. They sensed something was amiss, a familiar darkness creeping back into their lives.
"We can't let our guard down," Astra warned during one of their strategy meetings in the newly rebuilt bunker. "I can feel it in the city—there's a tension, a sense of fear returning."
Echo nodded, his brow furrowed. "I've heard whispers—people questioning each other, friends turning against friends. The darkness is growing."
The Sentinel looked out over the city from the bunker's window, a grim expression on his face. "We need to act before it consumes us again. We must find the source of this fear and confront it head-on."
