"At what time did you went to bed?" Ciara asked her younger sister as she held onto the small suitcase she'd carry as hand luggage.Y/n rubbed her eyes, trying her hardest to suppress a yawn that desperately wanted to surface. "I don't know, around eleven... maybe?"
4 a.m...
"Hmmm..." Ciara hummed, running her hand through her hair as she watched Y/n through her eyelashes. "You seem awfully tired for someone who had seven hours of sleep."
Y/n decided it was better to stay quiet, her sister must've heard her rummaging through her closet to find her snow goggles early this morning— which she still hasn't found, by the way.
A grin made its way to Ciara's face. She knew she was trying to catch her sister in a lie. How boring of her to stay quiet.
They were currently at the airport, it buzzing with the usual early morning chaos—people dragging luggage, families huddled together, and the low hum of chatter echoing across the wide halls.
Y/n and Ciara had already made it through security and were now waiting in line to check in for their flight. The electronic signs above them flashing details of destinations across the world, but Y/n's mind was focused on only one place: Sankt Moritz.
Sankt Moritz was known for its luxurious ski resorts, stunning views, pristine slopes and crisp, and its alpine air.
For as long as Y/n could remember, her and Isagi's family would go there for the holidays. Every year, without missing a single one, they would travel to the Swiss Alps. It wasn't just a trip— it was a tradition.
It was also where her mom and Isagi's mom met, and became friends as they bonded over every holiday they shared, just like their children were now doing.
A giddy feeling erupted into Y/n's stomach as she thought about the memories she shared with Isagi and how many more there were to be made.
"You're next," Ciara said, nudging Y/n out of her thoughts and chuckling to herself.
Y/n handed her passport and ticket over to the agent behind the check-in counter, practically bouncing on her toes. She could already feel the excitement bubbling up inside her.
The thought of reuniting with Isagi and getting back on the slopes, the warmth of the fireplace and late-night conversations with hot chocolate was all she could think about.
"Thank you~" Y/n smiled at the agent after receiving her boarding pass, her fingers tapping against the paper as she walked off.
"Excited much?" Ciara teased, glancing at her sister. "You're acting like you've never been on a plane before." She chuckled, shaking her head.
"Are you not?" Y/n squealed, finally able to let her emotions out. "I can't wait to fly on my own!" She grinned, her sister playfully pushing her shoulder.
"You're making it out to be way more special than it truly is." She sighed, now wrapping her arm around Y/n, who bit her lip to suppress another squeal out of excitement.
After what felt like an eternity of waiting, they finally boarded the plane.
Y/n slid into her seat by the window, still buzzing with excitement. First class was spacious and luxurious, with large seats that reclined almost flat and plenty of legroom.
Ciara sat next to her, looking more relaxed, though she couldn't help but laugh at how jittery Y/n was.
"Look, look, look!" Y/n urged her sister to look out of the plane window, pointing at staff members loading suitcases into the plane.
