A/N: Please keep in mind that I am in no way trying to make assumptions about the state of Chan's health and his mindset. He is a grown man who is perfectly capable of taking care of himself. He has also stated that he doesn't like it when we tell him what to do, so please bear that in mind!

Happy Birthday to the best leader! :P

It's Chan's birthday.

It's also midnight.

It's Chan's birthday, it's midnight, and Jisung has had enough.

The elder hasn't responded to any of his texts.

God knows he's practically blown up Chan's phone, first with well-wishes, then concern, until finally he had all but threatened to drag the leader home by the scruff of his neck.

Chan still hasn't replied to any of them.

Jisung is on his way to the studio now, a box of brownies Felix baked specifically for Chan in hand.

They had sat on the counter all day, waiting for Chan to get home and notice them.

Jisung sighs, running his free hand through his hair in frustration.

He understands. He really does.

As the leader, Chan has certain responsibilities that they are free from.

That doesn't mean that he has to sequester himself into the studio on his fucking birthday.

It's always been like this, Chan prioritising the group instead of himself, thinking that he owes it to them to create the best tracks, do everything he can, work himself literally and figuratively to the bone for them, all because they helped him debut.

Jisung calls bullshit.

They didn't help him debut- if anything, it was the other way around.

He's heard rumours that if Stray Kids hadn't formed, Chan would have been debuted as a solo. He was- and is- too talented for JYPE to let go. Not many trainees spent their rare free time creating tracks and mixtapes.

Jisung just wishes he could get the elder to see that, that he could open his eyes.

Chan's Live earlier was heartbreaking to watch- the concealer doing little to disguise the exhaustion that has been weighing him down recently. Said exhaustion was visible in everything: from the way he spoke, less animated than usual, to the slump of his shoulders, to his ill-disguised yawns.

Jisung's phone vibrates, and he opens it to see a text from Seungmin.

Drag chan back by his leg if you have to.

Jisung huffs, a smile playing on his lips.

Got it

...

*chan hyung, right???
