Praying that this never happens in real life
Chan is worried.
Not for himself, no. But rather for Hyunjin.
He has seen an explosion of online hate directed toward the dancer, and while Hyunjin may seem oblivious, the elder knows it's taking its' toll on him.
While the company is doing its; best to quell the outburst of threats, hate, and just pure evil, Chan can't help but feel like it's not enough.
The haters are still getting away with their actions, and truth be told, it feels like their managers aren't taking it seriously as they should.
Chan may not know much about media management, but when someone is threatening to bring a gun to a concert, someone should step in, take legal action, cancel said concert, something.
But no.
They have done nothing, even when Felix caught a laser to the eye at their last concert.
It's frustrating.
Chan is doing what he can, blocking and reporting any and all anti accounts that he can, making sure the dancer knows he can talk to him if he feels the need to, doing everything that is physically within his power to protect the younger.
He doesn't think that they should be doing this concert. It just doesn't sit well with him, the threats sitting in the back of his mind, looming over him.
Even now, on stage, he's fighting back the anxiety, a feeling that is gnawing on the back of his mind, reminding him that something is wrong, something is going to happen, something is off.
He pastes on a smile, laughing and joking along with the others, doing his best to play the part of a leader who is relaxed and having the time of his life, definitely not stressed about hypothetical situations.
Then it happens.
He senses it rather than sees it.
Something in his mind is screaming, telling him to get to the front, get the others behind him.
His body is already moving when he hears it, a crack so loud it sounds like a bang, echoing in his ears despite the screams of STAYs.
He shoves Hyunjin aside just as something rips into his shoulder, breaking through bone and muscle.
Pain explodes through his body, radiating from his shoulder, turning the world a myriad of colours- white, red, blue,
His knees thud to the stage floor, and he barely feels himself fall, pain clouding his mind.
Something is beating, the sound of drums.
Oh.
It's his heartbeat, pounding in his ears.
The world is fading fast, the pain threatening to overwhelm him.
