Chapter 4: Follow Your Heart

4 Years Ago....

Pio is in his fourth year of college. He's only five months away from graduating. While walking down the corridor of their school, Pio accidentally bumps into a man. "Sorry," the man said.
Pio ignored him and continued walking.

Pio's Chief arrived in their classroom with a new student. "Everyone, stand up!!" their section president ordered his classmates.
"Good Morning sir!!!" (salutes).... "Good Morning class, sit down." Chief Xian ordered his students. "So everyone, we have a new student. Introduce yourself."
"Hello everyone, my name is Coan Estan. I'm 24 years old. I'm from Bulroshin College School. I transferred to this school because I heard that this is where the best police officers study, and my idol is here. Let's be friends," he introduced himself. While Coan was speaking, Pio was looking at him. Coan was the man he bumped into in the corridor earlier. "Mr. Coan, sit next to Mr. Scorpio," Chief Xian ordered. Coan went to the top and sat next to Pio.
"Hello, I'm Coan," (he raised his hand to shake Pio's hand) Pio ignored Coan and just continued writing. "Uhmm, whatever," Coan said.

Class was over. "Everyone, proceed to the gymnasium," the president ordered. They arrived at the gymnasium. They were wearing taekwondo uniforms. "Everyone, whoever beats me in taekwondo today will get plus points," Coach Ruyushin (a martial arts police officer) offered... While facing his first opponent, Coach Ruyushin spoke, "Coan, watch what I do. Since you're new here, you need to learn my techniques. Watch and learn," Coach Ruyushin boasted to Coan. Ruyushin attacked and immediately knocked down his opponent. Almost all the students in Pio's class were knocked down by Ruyushin. "Now Coan, you're next. Let's see what martial arts you learned at your old school." Coan went to face Ruyushin. Ruyushin attacked immediately and quickly knocked Coan down.

Coach Ruyushin was lecturing his students while they were planking. While he was hitting each student, Pio, who was late for class, was looking at him. "You're about to graduate, but you're still like this. Should police officers be weak?" Coach Ruyushin asked his students while hitting them one by one. "No Sir!!" the students replied. Ruyushin was about to hit Coan when Pio spoke. "Coach, challenge me." Pio challenged. "Well, if you lose, your punishment will be doubled."

The two stood in the middle. "You know, no matter what you do, you can't beat me. You're a Muay Thai fighter, so you don't know taekwondo," Ruyushin boasted. Ruyushin attacked immediately, punched right away, but Pio dodged it, grabbed Ruyushin's hand, lifted him, and slammed him down. Pio left as if nothing happened, leaving Ruyushin lying down, still in pain. Pio's classmates were stunned by what they saw, while Coan was smiling.

It was time for Pio to go home. While Pio was walking down the corridor of their school, Coan suddenly tapped Pio from behind. Pio was startled, so he almost punched Coan. But even though Pio almost punched Coan, Coan didn't seem scared. Pio lowered his hand. He walked again and left Coan. "Can you teach me Muay Thai?" Coan asked. Pio ignored him and continued walking.

While walking down the corridor, Pio heard people talking. "Why was Pjick released?" "He finished his ten-year sentence in prison." "But he's a psychopath. He raped and killed his own child. He shouldn't be released." The students were talking. A student turned on the public TV. "What are you going to do with your life now? Have you really changed?" a reporter asked Pjickk. Pjickk looked at the camera with a pitiful face. "I won't repeat what I did before. I've already asked God and my child for forgiveness. I promise I won't repeat what I did."
Pjickk cried while speaking.

(Pjikk Point Of View)....

"Lies!!!"...."Put him back in prison!!!"...."You animal!!! You murderer!!!"...."You should die!!!"...."You belong in hell"...."Give Kane justice!!!!" people shouted at Pjickk while throwing things at him. Pjickk was put in the car. "Where should I drop you off?" the police asked him. "Take me to Kayshein River." Pjickk replied. The car drove off, but the people's throwing and shouting continued. Pjickk fell asleep. "Wake me up when we get there." Pjickk ordered the police.

After four hours, they arrived at Kayshein River. It was dark and deserted. The police were wondering why Pjickk wanted to go there. They got out of the car. "Do you have a house here?" the police asked. " "It's far from here," Pjickk replied. "Can you help me get my stuff from the back of the car?" Pjickk requested. The police went to the back of the car. While the police was bent over getting Pjickk's stuff, Pjickk suddenly hit him with a rock. The police fell down. "Ackk...what are you doing?" "You know, when a person's heart wants something, they follow it. It's hard to change, especially when your heart is your enemy." The police fell asleep because he was hit on the head. Pjickk was about to hit the police again when someone stabbed him in the back. "Ahhckk." The masked and hooded man kicked Pjickk. Pjickk fell down from the force of the man's kick. "Who are you?" Pjickk asked the man. "Didn't you say, when a person's heart wants something, they follow it? I'm just doing what my heart wants." the man said. The man stabbed Pjickk repeatedly. Pjickk was already dead, but the man continued stabbing him. "You lose when someone stops what your heart wants. This is your true sentence." The man stood up and went to the police car to remove the dashcam. "I'll kill you all." He took off his mask, it was Pio. "There's no justice in this world anymore. So I'll be justice now." Pio smiled.

(Detective Lee's Point Of View)....

(Day Time) (6 hours ago after the slaughter)

The police were investigating the scene. "What happened here last night?" Lee asked the police who was with Pjickk last night. "While I was getting his stuff from the back of the car, he suddenly hit me with a rock, so I fell asleep. I didn't kill him. You saw that I was also lying down here." the Police replied. Detective Choi appeared. "The dashcam is missing." he said. Detective Kha appeared. "We didn't detect any unusual fingerprints.(looking at the police) But there are your fingerprints on his bags." Pio's section arrived at the crime scene. "Everyone, like what you did before, go around the whole area, ask people questions. Understand!!" Chief Marex commanded his students. "Sir yes sir!!" Chief Marex went to Detective Lee. "Thank you for the backup," Detective Lee said gratefully. "Take a break. Go with the ambulance," Lee ordered the police. "But he's the main suspect here," Kha argued. "There are no fingerprints on the knife, and that's the only weapon used on the victim. I also detected Pjickk's fingerprint on the rock earlier. And the blood on that rock is from this police officer. He's telling the truth." Lee explained. "Lee is right. And according to the doctors I called earlier, the blood of this police officer is 6 hours 45 minutes and 23 seconds old. While Pjickk's is 6 hours 45 minutes and 58 seconds. So the police officer's blood came out before Pjickk's. It's true that Pjickk hit this police officer while he was getting his stuff." Chief Marex explained. They sent the police away and put him in the ambulance.

(Pio's Point Of View)....

The students were asking questions to the people they met. "He deserved it. He's a psychopath, so he deserved it," Coan said. "Yeah, he really deserved it," said his other classmates. "Everyone, just focus on Chief's command," their president ordered. While Pio was walking, he suddenly noticed someone looking at him from the forest. Pio immediately ran to catch that person. "Pio, where are you going?" their president asked. Pio continued chasing him. "Follow Pio," the president ordered one of his classmates.

Pio was already in the middle of the forest. He stopped running. While looking around, someone suddenly appeared in front of him. "It's you," the man said to Pio. "What are you saying?" "You killed Pjickk last night." "It wasn't me."... "Thank you so much. My brother has been given true justice. It's only right for my father. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. While the man was speaking, he was suddenly shot. Pio immediately went to the man to catch him. Pio looked around to find who shot the man. While looking around, someone suddenly injected him in the back. Pio's vision blurred and he fell asleep. A man stood there, looking at Pio, and suddenly smiled."
