Chapter 5: Killer Of The Dead

Shain's Point Of View...

"What's wrong with you, Shain?  Why are you always like this?  Haven't I told you not to go with that man?"  her mother scolded.  "It's none of your business!  This is my life, I'll do what I want!  Let me make my own decisions.  I'm leaving this house!" Shain retorted to her mother.  "What's gotten into you, my child?  You weren't like this before."  "I've just been putting up with your rules, Mom!  I'm so angry!"  Shain stormed out.  "Daughter!!, Where are you going?!"

Shain walked along the edge of the bridge.  She carried her belongings with her.  She stopped and looked out at the sea.  "I hope I never have to see you again, Marya (her mother)."  While standing there, a man was watching her.  Shain took a cigarette from her pocket and lit it.  "This life is so frustrating."

Marya Point Of View....

Shain's mother couldn't believe what had happened.  She couldn't stop crying.  "What have I done wrong, my child!!  I've done everything for you, but why?" (sobbing)  While Marya was crying, there was a knock at the door.  Marya went to the door to open it, but there was no one there when she opened it.  "Who was that?"  Marya looked around, but she couldn't see anyone.  Marya closed the door again and went to the living room.  "I'm going crazy.  I was hoping it was Shain at the door, but it wasn't."  While she was standing in the living room, someone suddenly stabbed her from behind.  The hooded man stabbed Marya repeatedly until she fell to the ground.  She was lying there, but the man didn't stop stabbing her.  Marya was dead, but the man continued to stab her.  The man finished stabbing Marya.  He drew a large letter X on Marya's forehead.  "I just wanted to help others."  He smiled and left.

Shain's Point Of View....

"Love, have you done what I asked you to do?"  Shain's boyfriend asked while they were lying in bed.  "Of course, love.  I left her for you.  That Marya was getting on my nerves anyway."  Shain replied while hugging her boyfriend.  "Good.  There's no obstacle to our love now."  Shain's boyfriend got up and turned on the TV.
"Good day to you, Kosenhigh Citizens.  We have another tragic news story.  Last night, at 8:30, another murder took place in our city.  It happened in the Woodside subdivision.  The victim is said to be Marya, and the killer is X Psyc, who also killed a detective's brother.  Shain was shocked by what she heard.  "No, it can't be him...no...no" she worried.  "This is where the crime took place (the reporter shows the inside of Marya's house where the crime took place).  She was killed here."  When Shain saw their house, she immediately got up and left.  Shain ran quickly.  When she got outside, she immediately called a taxi.  "Driver, take me to Woodside Village.  Hurry, driver."

Shain arrived at their house.  She immediately got out of the taxi and ran towards the house.  The police stopped her from entering.  "You can't go in, ma'am," the police officer told Shain.  "Let me in!!  My mom is in there!! (cried)... Shain fell to the ground and continued to cry...  "Mom!!!...Let me in!!!"  The medic team brought Marya's body out.  When Marya saw it, she immediately approached it.  The police tried to stop her from getting close to the body.  "Mom!!!  Mom!!!  That's my mom!!  Mom!!!  Let's go inside the house, mom!...  I'm sorry, mom"... Shain fell again and continued to cry.  "I'm sorry, Mom," Shain whispered to herself.

Detective Lee Point Of View....

"Brother, how are you? I hope you, Mom, and Dad are happy up there."  He was talking to his deceased brother at the cemetery.  "Brother, I still haven't caught the person who killed you.  I'm sorry, brother, because I still haven't gotten justice for you.  Forgive me, brother, because I couldn't save you that day.  It's hard to live alone, brother.  It feels like I'm carrying the weight of the world.  Everything has been so difficult since you left.  You were the only person I could turn to for strength.  You're the reason I became a police officer."
