"Prepare my things, hurry up!" the doctor’s voice was urgent, his orders slicing through the tension in the air. Nurses bustled around him as they wheeled Terr’s grandma into the ICU. Terr’s heart pounded as he tried to catch up."Doc, what’s happening to Grandma?" he asked, barely holding back the panic.
The doctor shook his head. "I don’t know. She was fine earlier, but something happened... I don’t know what’s wrong with her now."
They finally reached the ICU. The operation that followed was quick—too quick. The doctor emerged with a heavy expression, his face shadowed with regret.
"I’m sorry… I did everything I could, but… I couldn’t save her." His voice was heavy, each word sinking into Terr like weights.
Terr felt his world crumble as he fell to his knees, his mind struggling to comprehend the words. "No, no… this can’t be true. My grandma is still alive." He tried to run to her, but the nurses held him back, their gentle hands restraining him.
"Let me in! Grandma!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the corridor, but it was too late.
Terr knelt silently before his grandmother’s grave, his heart aching as he stared at her name etched into the cold stone. He was all alone now, and the pain was a constant, gnawing weight on his chest.
A familiar figure approached quietly. It was Lee, his only friend left. He knelt beside Terr, letting the silence speak for him.
"Terr, I know you’re alone now, but you don’t have to be," Lee said softly. "You can stay with me. I’ve lost everyone I love too, so I know what you’re feeling. You can be my brother if you want."
Terr shook his head. "Thank you, but I can manage. I don’t need help." He paused, his voice growing cold. "I’ll find out who killed Grandma. She didn’t just die."
Lee’s face showed shock. "What? Terr, no one killed her. She was sick, and that’s why she passed."
"You don’t understand." Terr’s gaze was fierce. "Someone injected something in her. I study nursing course; so I know it."
Lee placed a hand on Terr’s shoulder. "I know you’re in pain, and that’s why you’re saying these things. If you ever need anything, just call me."
Lee left, leaving Terr alone, clenching his fists as he stared at the grave.
"Just wait, Doctor Madin. One day, I’ll get justice for my grandma."
Present Time...
Pio's Point Of View...
"We can stay here at my apartment while we plan our investigation," Lee suggested to Coan and Lux as they arrived. "It’s safe, and we’ll be able to work in peace."
"Wow, your apartment is huge," Coan remarked, looking around.
"Are you the only one who lives here?" Lux asked Pio.
"Yeah, I’m the only one who live here," Pio replied as he turned on the TV.
The news filled the room. "Police have identified the suspect in the murder of couple, Lip and Marl. Here’s his face." (The screen showed a man’s photo.) "This is Pol Madion, a resident of Hiswue Village. Authorities are currently tracking him."
Coan’s face lit up with satisfaction. "Finally, they’ll catch that jerk."
"I’ll be back shortly," Pio said, heading towards his room to grab something.
"Where are you going? We’re supposed to be having our meeting now," Lux asked.
"I won’t be long. Eat something while I’m gone so we can start as soon as I’m back," Pio replied with a reassuring smile.
"Alright; stay safe," Lux said as Pio headed out.
Twenty minutes later, Pio arrived at his destination.
Pol Madion's Point Of View...
"They won’t catch me," Pol sneered, smirking as he adjusted his collar. He had gone to his last victim’s house to hide—no one would suspect him here.
As he lounged on the sofa, his phone in hand, a series of knocks interrupted his thoughts. His heart raced, but no one spoke.
He opened the door, peering out. Nothing. Pol chuckled. "I’m losing my mind," he muttered, closing the door and returning to his seat.
He was about to relax when a voice, low and dark, echoed from the shadows. "I knew I’d find you here."
Pol’s heart skipped a beat. "Wh-who’s there? How did you find me? Show yourself!" he demanded, fear lacing his voice.
Pio stepped forward, a dangerous smile playing on his lips. "Afraid, Pol?"
Pol tried to steady himself. "Who are you? Are you a cop? And why do you have a knife? What do you want from me?"
"I’m here for justice, but not the kind you’ll find in a courtroom. You need to pay for what you did to that couple, but this judgment will come from the blade in my hand."
Pol forced a smirk, masking his fear. "You think I’m scared? You want me to do to you what I did to my ex and her new boyfriend? They deserved it. Come on, try me."
Pio’s smile only grew darker as he leaned in, his eyes piercing through Pol’s facade. "Why do I see fear in your eyes, Pol?"
"I’m not afraid!" Pol shouted as he ran towards Pio. He threw a punch, but Pio blocked it with his hand and quickly stabbed Pol in the stomach. Pol dropped to his knees, and Pio followed up with a knee to Pol’s face, sending him crashing to the floor.
"I won’t turn you over to the law; I’ll give you true justice—death."
Pio delivered several stabbing blows to Pol, relentless and cold. When he was done, he grabbed Pol’s cellphone and opened the location app. Without hesitation, he left to make it in time for their meeting about the secret investigation into the murder of Doctor Kyu—crime himself he had committed.

Someone's Point Of View...
“Damn it! I could’ve killed Pio right there if it weren’t for that idiot. Who the hell messed it up? I was so close to stabbing Pio from behind while he was attacking that Pol guy. But no! Someone just had to ruin it," the man muttered angrily.
"You’re next first, whoever you are. You’re going to ruin my plans. But why hasn’t that man killed me yet whoever he is? He must know who I am by now. I have to take you out early before it’s too late. I need to avenge Pjikk."
