~~Sorry for this chapter, the next one will be better. I just couldn't leave you all waiting and I couldn't come up with anything else~~
They first appeared over a hundred years ago. Giant, humanoid creatures with a taste for our blood. The brute strength of these aberrations trumped an average person's many times over. We were shoved to the brink of extinction almost overnight. The suvivors erected Walls Maria, Rose and Sina; withdrawing behind them in frightened huddles for what was to be a century of uneasy peace. In the year 845, two terrifying new breeds of Titan appeared: the Colossal and the Armored, barreling through the outer walls as if wholesale and destruction was child's play. The territory couched within the circle of Wall Maria was abandoned. Twenty percent of the human race perished. As the titan onslaught advanced, our only choice was to withdrawal behind Wall Rose. In the year 850, the Colossal appeared once again, breaching the Wall bordering Trost before disappearing. The Titans flooded in through the broken gate.
"Eren! No!" Armin screamed as he extended his arm forward. The Titan shut it's mouth and half of Eren's arm flew out. Armin let another screech while Mikasa takes down a titan that was heading for the remaining civilians that were still evacuating.
Two hours later, the evacuation of the entire populace was complete. As a result, no civilians were lost to the Titans. The same cannot be said for the countless soldiers who persished, buying the people time.
"Eren. As long as you're part of my life I can fight to the bitter end." Mikasa vowed as she sped through the town on her gear.
---------------------------------------------
The sky was dark and cloudy. The sound of raining was the only thing I could hear. It's cold. I want out. I want to leave this dreadful body. I want to meet up with Armin. I want to support him and tell him it's OK. I don't want him to be afraid.
Titans roamed the streets and there weren't many humans around. Where did they all go? I know they were here somewhere. My feet took large and giant steps that shook the ground. I turned my head side to side looking to see if I could find anyone around, I needed to know if all my friends were safe.
As I took another step, I felt a sharp pain in my arm. What? Why does this hurt so much? I turned my head and there was an 8 meter titan biting down on my arm, it was hard enough to draw blood. The crimson liquid slowly fell to the ground and went up in steam.
My large mouth opened up and let out a screeching roar. I bared my left fist and punch the living daylights out of the Titan, the bite of it even ripped off part of my flesh. I let out another yell and stomped my foot on its head.
Why do I do this?
Is it for my mother?
My father?
Who am I doing this for?
It can't be for me..
There it is again. That pain. But now, it's on my leg. I looked down to see that another Titan had sneaked up and bit me. I swung my left leg to get it off me, but it was like it was biting harder than the last one. What is this? I slammed my leg against the side of a house and steam burst from the impact.
I'm not human. This doesn't hurt me. I don't like that.

"Just what the hell was that?" Connie muttered under his breath.
"I don't know and I don't want to stay long enough to find out." Jean responded. "Even so, we're low on gas and Titans are all over headquarters, we're basically sitting ducks out here."
"We have no way of fighting back. But we've got to do something! But, where the hell is the supply team?!"
"They all lost their will to fight. I can understand why, but they abandoned their will to supply us, barricading themselves inside HQ and Titans are all over the place so, we can't go there and get gas ourselves without becoming a meal."
"Then why are we still here!?" Connie yelled. "We should start thinning their numbers so we'd have a chance! Sitting here on this roof is totally pointless!"
"You're using your head for once, Connie. But there's no way we can pull this off with how little people we have. Veterans in the vanguard force have all been killed. How can a bunch of rookies pull of a suicide mission like this? Even if half of our force survives the initial assault, the supply team's probably filled with Titans in the 3 or 4 meter range. I don't see us get much out of that once we get that far."
"It's hopeless." Connie said sharply.
The rain had already stopped and Sasha was trying desperately to get her squad back up on their feet, but her attempts proved to be pointless. The were all scared down to the bone. God knows what they've seen within the matter of hours that have passed. Annie and her squad stood tightly packed together on the far side of the roof debating on whether they should move out or not. A small commotion formed because Mikasa showed up looking for Eren.
"Annie!" She called out. "I know how bad things have gotten. It's selfish, but in personal matters in the forefront, but have you seen Eren's squad?"
"Some of the squads made it back, but I don't know about Eren's." She replied.
"We found Armin, he's over there." Reiner said.
"...! Armin!"
Mikasa! I can't! How will I tell her what happened to Eren? I survived, it means nothing. I'm so useless. I wish I had died instead.
"Armin." Mikasa said softly, kneeling in front of him. "Are you OK? You're not hurt are you?" She stood up and looked around worriedly. "Where's Eren? Armin..."
Armin lifted up his face and stared at Mikasa intently, the fear and sadness in his eyes were clearly visible as tears streamed down his cheeks. "They were...the cadets of Squad 34. Thomas Wagner, Nic Tius, Mylius Zeramuski, Mina Carolina and...Eren Jaeger! These 5 upheld their duties... they died valiantly on the field of battle. Mikasa, I'm so sorry..I should have been the one to die! Not Eren! I couldn't do a thing! I'm worthless."
"Armin." Mikasa said, she placed her hand on Armin's and looked him dead in the eye with her cold, blank ones. "We haven't got time for you to get emotional right now. Get up. What about Aria? You didn't mention her."
"I don't know. She disappeared."
"Alright." She responded turning away. "Marco, if we eliminate or bypass the Titans at HQ, we can then refuel our gear allowing us to get back over the Wall. Is that assessment correct?"
"Uh, yeah I guess so. But there's too many of them in the way. Even with you here."
"I can do it. I'm stronger than any of you can imagine. None of you can come close. Do you hear me? I have the power to slay all of the Titans that lay in our path. Even if I'm on my own. As for as I'm concerned, I'm surround by a bunch of unskilled, cowardly worms. You disappoint me. You can all sit here and twiddle your thumbs and watch how it's done."
------------------------------------------
When did it come to this? It feels like an eternity since I found myself like this. My mind....it feels so foggy. I can't even think straight. It makes me feel like some sort of mindless beast. Maybe that's what I am. Maybe that's what I always was.
The pain....it's unbearable. It was like they came out of nowhere. They're all over me.
But...why? Why am I so tired? Like I just want to go...to sleep. I can't! They're everywhere! Everywhere! It's not going to end like THIS!! I'm not losing! I'm NOT losing to what destroyed me in the first place! That's impossible! I promised! I promised I would make it out of these walls! And I'm not breaking it now!
I let out another ear-splitting screech as I forced myself up off the ground. Titans still gnawing at my flesh. And suddenly... I blacked out.
~~Sorry for the long wait. I had gotten lazy and thanks to @alyssa_dancer_01, I finally got my lazy butt to finish this chapter! Yay for me! ^_^ Anyways, hope you enjoyed. This was a lot of work, I'm tired and it's past midnight.😘
