Chapter 3

It's been a day or two since you've last talked to someone. The last person you have spoken to was one of the many repairmen of the Hadal Blacksite, Sebastian.

He was the only person who visited you (besides the scientists who would periodically check up on you) and actually had meaningful conversations with you.

Dare you say he was your friend.

That camera in the corner sat miserably, reminding you of Sebastian's inevitable return. Or at least you hope he would.

This would be my third time coming in to repair something, Sebastian had thought when he was informed by his superiors, that he would be returning to your cell once again. Although he knew of the camera you broke, they really want him back in there soon.

When the repairman himself heard that, he felt a sweatdrop. He knew you better now, after fixing your mess. You were nice to be around and pleasant to talk to, But that didn't mean he would let his guard down. His mind went wild thinking of what you could have possibly done to his co-workers.

Maybe something they didn't tell him on purpose, in order not to scare him off, but he was rather curious. Did you eat someone alive? Break all the limbs in someone's body? Suffocate them like a snake? It was morbid thinking, but he couldn't help himself. Maybe it was a bit disrespectful to think of you like that, you don't sound like the type to hurt someone.

But he had to remind himself that you were still both a person and a monstrosity. That you still had feelings but were intimidating to the extreme.

That thought didn't stop him from wanting to ask his questions, you were still an amazing creature with amazing potential. He wondered what other talents you had besides your strength and electro-receptors. He questions whether he'll ever get a more higher profiled keycard than the boring blue one he always had on him, considering that keycard was the most basic of basic keycards down here. He considers asking for one, it would be useful for certain jobs he'd have to do.

Sebastian had important places to be and fix, he should be upped a rank. Or, at least that's what he thought.

The box that Sebastian had to hold was the new security camera. Replacing the camera would be a breeze, the wiring process at least. Getting the damn thing connected to the security room would be a struggle. The microphone on it would need to be fixed as well, but the new camera had one built in so that wouldn't be an issue.

Sighing before checking his toolbox twice for anything missing, Sebastian set out to do his job.

You managed to entertain yourself until Sebastian came back for the next repair, thinking of things to talk about while he was gone. Maybe you were just lonely, maybe you were just weird.

You had spent the rest of your time in your little cove gathering all the stones you could from your water pool, gathering them to the entrance of your cave, and stacking them as high as you could for your boredom. You got a total of twenty-six rocks stacked before they fell down, challenging you to try again.
