I knock on Hadrid's door, hoping he's home. It's quiet for a moment, but then I hear shuffling and huge footsteps getting closer so I step off the steps and into the grass. Snape is standing a bit away from the hut, probably hoping he won't be invited in.

The large door creaks open and Hagrids eyes find us. "Well Ms. Maximoff, I wasn' expectin to see ya here. What can I do fer ya?" Hagrid gives a wide smile and extends a hand, inviting me inside.

I'm about to pass Hagrid, when I remember Snape is still standing in the grass, looking anywhere but the hut.

"Oh Hagrid, is Snape allowed to come in?" I look at Hagrid then point to Snape. Both have looks of utter shock that I would say such a thing.

"Ah, well if he' with you, I suppose he can join fer some tea." says Hagrid, his tone not as happy as when he invited me in.

"I'm not going in, I'll wait outsi-"

"Oh yes you are. C'mon." I grab his sleeve and pull him inside. The only reason it worked is because he wasn't looking and I didn't give him any time to react.

We step into Hagrids hut. It's a cozy place, the fire heating it up nicely. Hagrid offers us each a chair and I sit down, Snape stays standing by the door, probably wanting out as soon as i stand to leave. He sets two teacups down and walks over to the fire to grab the kettle.

I continue to look around. His house is absolutely cluttered with odd looking things, things I'm assuming are for his care of magical creatures classes. Cages, nets, boxes, large gloves scattered throughout the place. I notice above us there is a lot of stuff hanging from the ceiling as well-

"Here ya are. Now, what brings you by Ms. Maximoff?" Hagrid plops himself into a large chair opposite of us, that's when I notice a huge grey dog lounging in a chair next to him. I turn my focus back to Hagrid.

"Well, I stumbled upon an animal just a few minutes ago. A niffler to be exact." I extend my cupped hands across the table to show him, his face lights up and he has one of the biggest smiles I've ever seen someone have.

"Aww. Can I 'old 'im?" I nod my head and gently place snuffles into his large hands, he brings him close to his chest and pets him gently.

"I'm planning on keeping him, and i have no idea how to take care of these animals, so I was hoping you might be able to help me."

"Keep 'im? That's gonna be a mighty big job. While these creatures are very gentle and affectionate, they can be very distinctive when it comes to shiny things. Bes' to get 'im a leash for when he's in public, at leas' while he's a youngin'. And he's an herbivore, so veggies and plants are what he'll like to eat. A good book in the library is called 'Nifflers: a guide to handling them properly.' I forget who it's by, but I'm sure the librarian can help you."

I sip some of more of my tea, I've been touching every minute or so, it's quite good. Sweet, but not too sweet. I look over at Snape, who hasn't moved since he walked in. Still standing by the door.

Hagrid reaches over with snuffles and hands him back to me. It's odd that he still hasn't woken up yet.

"While their babies, they tend to sleep and lot. So don't be to suprised if ya hardly see him awake while he's still tiny." Hagrid said as if reading my mind.

"How big do they usually get?" I ask him, standing out of my chair and making my way over to Snape, who's just now started to look oddly. . . happy?

"Ah, he'll be as big as the size of yer average stuffed bear. Not very big, but blimey are they fast." Hagrid chuckles, he opens the door for us and Snape walks out first, his cape flowing behind him.
