Sam pov next day
Standing at the meeting point with the bag Jake gave me after asking me to return this stuff, I see the Cullens come up as I hold a note he requested I read to explain to them.
"What is it Sam?" The lead leech asks like he's confused.
"You bought and paid for gifts that Bella brought one of ours" I say bluntly.
"I'd prefer to throw it in the trash or back to you, however I recognize it as trying to keep the peace after what happened between Leah and Bella, so to who sent the custom tool set and tool box she loves them and has already been using them" I say calmly seeing the large bear man and his Barbie smile slightly.
"Now the clothes, we have brought back with a note from the dad" I say lifting it "thank you for the gift for my daughter, but she rarely wears dresses and will grow out of these to fast to some I already know are to small, they look expensive so instead of having them being unused I'm sending these back for you to decide what to do with them".
Seeing there confusion I ignore it sitting the back on the ground across the line "why was Bella expected to get her a gift for Charlie's mistake" Edward demands.
Stopping at the tree I place my hand on it "Sarah is not a mistake, the only mistake is her birth mother and she's Jacob's daughter not Charlie's" I growl.
Walking on I shake my head at his stupidity, he's seen the girl even photos of her Charlie has yet he thinks that and to call her a mistake.
I grab Paul's shoulder seeing him shake glaring at Edward "let's go Paul, you promised she could work on your old bike".
He nods stiffly and follows us out "she's going to scratch it up and strip the bolts".
Smirking I glance at him "you're the one who agreed after catching her running to it with a wrench".
Paul nods shrugging "Jake will help her or I will so she doesn't ruin it" he says sounding amused.
"You two noticed Leah and Sarah both smell like they'll shift right?" Jared asks.
"I have, same with Jake but I've never heard of female shifters, we'll keep an eye on them and pray that Sarah doesn't she's to young to be given this responsibility" I answer.
Walking back to the house we stop dropping off Paul's old bike with Jake letting him explain what's it for.
Glancing at Sarah I see her come out with a gallon jug of water in one hand, her little arm flexed showing muscles before she sits it down and looks at Paul as he pats the bike.
"This is for you Sarah so you and you're dad can work on together" he says.
She runs over and squats down putting her hand on it wide eyed "mine?" She asks.
"If you two can get it fixed it's all yours, now if he's busy I'd be happy to help you with it" he offers.
He comes over after Sarah squeals and jumps on him giving him a sloppy kiss on his cheek, laughing I slap his back "Paul Lahote shocked by a female, I never thought it was possible".
He smiles glancing back to Sarah waving and waves back "she's got strength to her I was braced for a normal human jumping me, she almost put me on my ass with her strength and speed".
Nodding I sigh "if the Cullens cause her to phase any chance of me being calm like today is gone" I growl.
"But she doesn't smell like she's meant for our pack" Jared adds.
"They can form a second pack if they want, Leah has enough to deal with from my imprinting I should have been a man about it and not cheated, I shouldn't have announced it the next day humiliating her more"

Spinning I get in Jared's face "it didn't have to be a relationship like we have Jared, a friend, a brother, a lover I am a protector yet I didn't think twice about breaking Leah's heart, I will never be able to make up for that but I will do what I can to make sure she's not hurt more, keep in mind I loved her enough to marry her we planned a life together till the Cullens came, without them I would have married her and been happy, I ruined her, ruined her relationship with Emily, Emily hides it but she misses Leah".
Jared nods looking away from me and I take a breath "imprinting is the most beautiful and one of the most important thing we do, but it does not decide what we are I made a mockery of imprinting and humiliated two people, when you imprint take it slow and get to know each other be friends first or you could hurt them like I did Emily and Leah, one is seen as a home wrecker and the other is talked about like she drove me away".
Stalking off I shake my head at my actions I acted like stupid childish boy instead of a man worthy of being a spirit warrior, I have to make sure the pack understands the importance of their actions, Jake for being so young is worthy of it since he was barely 14, stepping up to his responsibilities he puts his daughter first and does everything he can for her, he stood by Leah's side and called Emily and I out on our actions.
Stopping I look back at Jake as he helps Sarah take the bike apart, when he's ready to take his rightful spot I'll step down willingly, till then I'll lead them and make sure they understand everything I learned alone and scared.
Jake pov
Smiling I help Sarah take the bike apart "we need to get training wheels for it" I say as I sit the back tire to the side.
"Bashet?" She asks.
"Yes, we'll get a basket for it so your wolf can ride with you" I answer glancing at the gray wolf plushie Leah got her she takes it everywhere with her and named it puppy.
"Your supposed to go with Grandpa today for ice cream" I eventually say checking the time.
She nods jumping down and rushes off for the house as I follow her in to clean her up and get her dressed.
Once Charlie shows up I wave watching him drive away with her, he spends weekends with her and takes her out ever chance he gets.
