Running my territory I skid to a stop growling at the wolf shifter just at the edge roaring at him I pace along the line in front of him.

Catching his eyes I stop seeing he looks panicked, nodding to the tree I slip behind one and come out dressed "this is my territory wolf" I state when he finally comes out.

"I'm looking for missing members of my tribe we had a female child phase while with her godmother their scent leads somewhere here"

Humming I stretch lazily "you seem shocked a female became a shifter" I say slightly amused.

"We've never had one in our history"

"It's not uncommon, it happens under the right conditions such as a sudden influx of threats upsetting the balance, or in some cases a protector for someone vulnerable most common is parents or older siblings to protect a young child"

Seeing his shock I lean on the tree looking at him "so how young is this child that could trigger her guardian's shift?"

"She's a toddler" he says vaguely.

Frowning I look at him "what has shifted the balance in your territory to cause this" I ask worried.

"We don't know, but there's been an increase in missing persons in Seattle and a Red head vampire running into our territory"

Groaning I tilt my head back "you have a vampire on a rampage, something has upset her you need to figure out what".

"A coven of vampires who have taken in a human, she was being hunted by her and another but they swore she wasn't a threat"

"She was always a threat, they lied to you this vampire was with him, they were either mates or siblings she will avenge him by targeting the weakest member to that coven so that human"

"What if the child is connected to the human even if they don't care about the child"

"The child would be a target yes, I'll assume she's it's mother" I say seeing him nod.

"Create an immortal child and let it slaughter the mother, very poetic in a way a mother killed by her own child, the one thing this coven wouldn't see as a threat to her"

"They don't know about her they believe it's a half sibling that she hates"

Laughing I clap "oh that's beautiful, Karma and justice all in one I will search my territory for them and if I find them I'll bring them here" I say before walking away ignoring he's calls.

Pulling my clothes off I take off looking for the scent of wolf shifters to find them.

Two days later Seth's pov

Looking at Leah wide eyed I shake my head seeing her as a giant wolf comforting Sarah "oh God I don't know what to do" I mutter.

"Leah" I call.

She looks up at me "I need to hunt" I mutter, she nods before nudging Sarah.

Opening the door I head out trying to find food for us, wiping my forehead I look around seeing a large panther run past "are you Seth?" A female asks.

Aiming the gun at her she lifts her hands smiling at me "a man named Jared sent me".

Narrowing my eyes at her I lower the gun slightly put stay ready to shoot if needed "a child with you shifted like in your stories, the wolves meant to protect from the cold ones" she adds.

Tensing I step back "I'll go get him if you want but I can help".

"Bring Jared" I command.

She nods stepping back before turning into a giant panther that runs off.

Not long after a giant wolf comes up with her and changes into Jared, my body relaxes seeing him "Leah turned into a huge wolf" I say shaking more.

He nods coming closer touching my head "you'll phase any day now, but we need to help Leah and Sarah".

I nod running back to the house with them following me, coming to the door I open it hearing a growl "Leah, Jared can help he turns into a giant wolf too, and he brought a lady to help" I say before going in.

Unknown pov

Following the wolf in I see a giant silver wolf and freeze looking at her, she's beautiful I want to know her I'll do anything for her to be happy and to stop whatever pain her eyes show "hello beautiful" I purr.

Glancing down at whimpering I smile sitting down "Hello Sarah, can you be a big brave girl and listen to me so you can go home and see your daddy?"

Seeing her nod while whimpering I lay down sliding my hand closer "okay sweetheart, is that your favorite toy?" I ask seeing the wolf plushie.

"Can you try to remember how it feels to hold it in your hand or when you hug it"

Watching her I smile seeing her shift back slowly "good job, it normally takes children longer to get it" I say clapping as Seth picks her up to get her dressed.

Watching Leah I smirk seeing her trip yanking the blanket over her hiding her body "what the fuck was that, why couldn't I move" she demands glaring at me.

"You imprinted on me, it's not love at first sight but it means we are soulmates" I answer leaning to the side looking at her "you have a gorgeous figure" I tease.

"Don't mind her Leah she's strange"

Waving him off I move to the couch stretching out "I'll join you all on that reservation I have to make sure my imprint and Sarah is safe, I've fought my share of vampires and newborns so I know what I'm doing I can teach you all"

"The fuck is your name?"

Glancing at Leah I smile "Donna but for you I'll accept kitten or my love" I say before licking my lips then biting my bottom lip looking at her legs.
