Ethan Nakamura's POV (idk if I spelt his surname correctly, feel free to correct it in da comments)
I did it... I played my part, so what if I died? I didn't die like a fool, I died a hero. One to be remembered, I can see it now! Ethan Nakamura, the great child of Nemesis, he who died a noble hero.
"Look!" Silena and Bianca said in unison before looking at each other and laughing (I feel like those two would have a really sweet friendship dynamic). We all rush over to the tv Hephaestus made for all those who made it through to Elysium as we saw Luke in the Olympians throne room and by Athena's throne a younger teenager, obviously a demigod as only they and gods can go to Olympus. Was that... Annabeth?! Why is Luke, the one who cared for her for five years before leaving camp fighting her?
Silenas PoV:
They betrayal in her eyes... she has a look in her eyes that she hasn't had since the days following Thalia turning into the pine tree on Half-blood hill... I haven't seen that look in her eyes for 9 years.. She looks...heartbroken...
"A-Annabeth, did you ever l-love me" Luke stutters, as though holding on and refusing to die. Although it was inevitable.
"I did but I mostly saw you as a-a bro-brother" she says, visibly about to cry.
His eyes close one last time.
He's dead...
The war... it's... over...
It's finally over...
Kronos is gone...
Isn't he?
Third person PoV:
As Annabeth sits beside Luke tears slowly start trickling down her cheeks as Percy kneels beside, obviously unsure of what to do he nervously grabs her hand for reassurance and telling her that he's in a better place now before hugging her and letting her cry in his shoulder.
This goes on for all of about five minutes before she pulls away, her face blotchy from crying, her grey eyes that everyone complemented a lighter grey than it has been amidst the war.
"So this is it. This is the end of the war, it's all over... we've won... we did it Seaweed Brain.. we actually won!" She spoke to the adolescent she loved so dearly but whom was oblivious yet also in love with her.
He began to tear up as well "they shouldn't have had to die.. it's not fair Wise girl! They gave their lives up so we can live in peace! Knowing the gods we're gonna be sent on yet another quest next summer! We're never going to escape these constant challenges and puppeting for the gods it's like they're the puppeteers and we're the puppets! No they aren't players they're puppeteers, no they don't play they puppeteer and it's not fair! It's not fair at all! Our parents weren't even in our lives nor did we know them! Instead we had abusive step parents and they did nothing about it! THEY DONT CARE!" He exclaims, tears rolling down his face mercilessly as Annabeth nodded her head and held her arms out to embrace him in hug.
Not all heroes have happy endings. But demigods may have it the worst of all...
