For our journalism project we were going to be creating a school news show which I was very happy about I didn't even care that we were working with the Perfs. I was waiting for Stevie to give me my roll which I was kind of concerned about, I hoped that she'd give me a roll where I would be doing something while the camera's were rolling, instead of the script writing, which I do adore but that is not everything to me. "Y/n," she came up to me, "You will be our interviewer," I gasped and gave her a hug. "Thank you! thank you!" I then paused, "wait so, what exactly will I  be doing?" "You'll be talking to the students about a question or topic, right over here," which was opposite the green screen, it was just two chairs and a table with coffee mugs on them but the chairs were so fancy, I felt my face light up, "I knew you'd like it," she walked off, I forget how much we know about each other. I walked over to the table where Zander and Grace were, "I get to be the interviewer!" I say with glee, "That's great Y/n," Zander said with more concern than happiness. "You okay?" I asked. "Well, what if you have to Interview Jack?" I laughed, "Stevie won't let that happen," I say with full confidence. "But I would," Emma, the co-producer appeared out of nowhere, I let out a small yelp, startled. "What? Why?" She smirked, "Because, don't you want the whole school to realise that you deserve better, and disperse the rumours?" To be honest Emma did have a point.

We were working for a theme song for the News show and Kacey gave us this option:

But Stevie didn't really like it, "I just don't think that a serious news school theme, should have the word 'zippidy' in it." I nodded, "I concur with Stevie, it needs to be simple, professional and like 5 seconds long." "Oh, so like just the zippidy part?" Kacey replied. "No," Stevie said in a straight forward tone.

Emma and I walked up to Jack, I chose to trust her instincts and so here we were, "Hey," Emma started, Jack turned and flinched thinking he was going to get beaten up again. "Calm down, we just want to talk," I say and his eyes lit up. "You discovered you have feelings for me?" I shook my head and he frowned. "Then forget it," he started to walk away but I ran in front of him, "Would you like to be interviewed on our school news show?" He looked taken aback, "Why would you want me?" I paused but Emma then jumped in, "We want people to know your opinions of love," Jack looked a little intrigued. "Who would I be interviewed by?" He asked. Emma gestured to me, "Y/n of course." I then saw Jack's face change, like he got an idea which scared me, "Will Zander be in the same room?" I answered, "...Yeah, what's he got to do with-" "I'll do it!" Emma smiled, "I'll text you the info," she then pulled me away. "Emma, I'm regretting this, what if he manipulates the conversation?" Emma patted my shoulder, "Then you start telling everyone the cold, hard truth, you can't manipulate the truth." The bell then rang and she walked away. "You'd be surprised," I mumble to myself.

I walked in with my first interviewee for the show, Amy from Basketball, and we were going to be talking about the horrid defeat of our team and we were eliminated from the playoffs. I saw Dahlia fixing Zander's hair, I walked up to them confused, "Erm... What's she doing here?" I asked. "I have no idea, doesn't she work on the show?" I shook my head, "No, she doesn't." She realised she had been caught, looked at me then at Zander and spoke, "I love you," and ran off crying. I tried to hold back a giggle, "Weird, she almost got into a fight with the girl doing my make up." I laughed even more, "Zander, we don't have a make up girl." "Weird," he said. "I mean, it makes sense why nearly every girl in this school is in love with you," I comment. "Yeah, but there's only one I care about like that," he winked. "Speaking of that, you free this weekend?"  I tapped the mini mic on my cheek and he lit up, "Yes!" Stevie then looked at us annoyed so I got into my position ready for the camera to start rolling.

I was getting ready for my part when Zander introduced me, "Last but certainly not least, we have Y/n, you will be interviewing one of our students, the topic this week: dealing with defeat, Y/n Darling." The camera cut to me and I tried to remain normal after that, "Thanks Zander, today I am with a very good friend of mine, Amy Wilskie, Amy you know aswell as I do that defeat is an obstacle that some people don't even attempt at trying to overcome, what's your take on defeat?"
"Well..."
My interview went great and at the end I said, "thank you for joining me Amy, back to you Zander." The camera was off me and I took a breath relieved, "Thanks Darling, that's all the time we have today." Grace then spoke, "I'm Grace King and I'm Zander Robbins, have a good day," and the show was over. I waited for Stevie to say, "and, we're clear," before I hugged Amy tightly. "You were amazing!" I say. "Me? What about you, you came up with all those questions on your own!"
