Ch 4: A Deal

Kinich warily answered the hero, "You're right about that, but what does that have to do with us?" Eraserhead reach out his hand to him and Kinich flinched back, "I can help you"

He stared out the open hand in front of him, "What do you want in return? Nothing comes for free," this took Aizawa by surprise

Nothing comes for free? What the hell happened to this kid?

"You appear to have a very powerful and diverse quirk. And by your reaction you just awakened it today," he received a small head tilt from the bandana wearing boy, "what's a quirk?"

This time, it was Aizawa's turn to be confused, "You don't know what a quirk is?" a small shake of the head was the answer, "A quirk is a power, my quirk is to cancel other people's powers" a nod of acknowledgement this time

"Then, why do you want to help me?" Kinich was still suspicious, he had some guesses on why this hero wanted to help him but no concrete evidence. One, he could want to use him for his own benefit. Two, he actually just wanted to help. Or three, he was obligated to because of his job as a 'hero'

"Because you're a kid," This shocked him.Help him because he was a kid? Not even tribal members did that when he was a child, they simply ignored him

Aizawa watched Kinich as he contemplated his answer, confirming his assumption. He doesn't have good experience of adults then, "I will help you if you go to UA highschool"

Kinich blinked. It feels like this happened before, "School? That's hardly a deal that will benefit you, I can't take that"

He has a good heart but no way of expressing it , the hero thought, unless it's that man from before. He will be a good hero if trained correctly. "How about this? You go to UA highschool but in exchange you come under me as an intern." He watched as the teen contemplated this, weighing the pros and cons. Finally after a moment, the teen placed his hand in Aizawa and shake it, "I accept, I'm Malipo Kinich" "And I'm Shouta Aizawa"

They stared at each other until a small noise came from behind Kinich, "awooo?" Kinich pulled his hand away and turned around to pat the baby saurians on the head as if to say 'Good job for being quiet'

"If I may ask, what are those?" Aizawa pointed to the three colorful dinosaurs

"They are different types of Saurians," and Kinich pointed to each one, "this one is a Tepetlisaur whelp, this one is a Koholasaur and finally this one is a Yumkasaur"

"And the young man who disappeared?"

"His name is K'uhul Ajaw and he's a part of my 'quirk'" the foreign word rolled off Kinich's tongue uncomfortably, but he can't reveal all his secrets right off the bat, right?

"I see," Eraserhead got up from his crouch and offered a hand to Kinich, who took it, "You can stay with me until you enroll into UA, you'll get lodging there"

"Alright" Kinich put the yumkasaur on his shoulders and picked up the tepetilsaur, he was about to also pick up the koholasaur but he was stopped by Aizawa picking up the whelp, "Let me help"

They walked through the streets until they came to a medium-sized house that was blasting out music. He lives here? It's so loud though... Kinich watched as Aizawa sighed and opened the door, music blasting out from the inside of the house came to meet. Kinich cautiously followed the hero into a large living room, "You can put the suarians to wander here, I don't think they would enjoy to going to the source of the music," he nodded and placed the whelps on the ground to reunite with the koholasaur that was carried by the hero. Aizawa watched as Kinich wrapped his tail around them in a quick hug, "Stay in this room and don't break anything" and received a little chorus of squeaks

After he was done, Kinich turned back to Aizawa, "Alright, let's go," the tired hero led him through a small hallway, as they walked Aizawa hung his visor and scarf on some hooks in the wall. It opened to a quant kitchen, where a blond man was dancing as he cooked

"Mic," the man didn't hear them

"Hizashi" he still didn't hear them.

"YAMADA" the man finally turned around in a spin and his face lit up in glee, "Huh? Shouta, you're back!" he ran out from behind the counter and gave Shouto a hug, "and who's this?"

"I'm Malipo Kinich, thank you for letting me stay here" Mic smiled as he pulled away from Aizawa and ruffled the already messy hair, "I'm Prohero Presnt Mic, my real name is Yamada Hizashi, and anytime! Shouta here takes in a kid at least once a year. They're always good kids but I can't convince him to keep any of them because he always finds them perfect families" Aizawa was about to stop Hizashi from touching Kinich until he noticed that the teen didn't slap away his hand.

However, the physical contact obviously did surprise Kinich

Is this what it's like to have a good parent? He debated hitting away the man's hand but instead allowed it. It's... not bad? The two heroes watched Kinich as he unconsciousness pushed into Mic's hand, and for the first time that day, Kinich saw Aizawa smile
