TW: Suicide
Five minutes. It took Jimin five minutes to realize that the person she was with right now wasn't Kim Minjeong. The hope quickly fading inside Minsik, but he kept it up, forcing himself to believe that there was still a chance for him.
"You see." He smiled but his eyes betrayed him by showing his pain. "Do you see, Jimin? Nothing changed. You still like my touches don't you?"
Jimin was at loss, staring at him, making sure that it really was true. Despites feeling the cold, and though the goosebumps were still on her skin, she breathed out longingly.
Everything was coming to an end.
With a wide smile, she opened her phone again. There were numerous missed calls from Kim Aeri, tons of texts from her friends. As she dialed Aeri's number and put her phone on her ear, suddenly, Minsik grabbed it out of her hand.
For a second there, Jimin had forgotten that this man once planned to kill her.
And she still had no idea if he still wanted to pursue it.
His body was stiff, eyes staring at Jimin coldly. "Let's talk."
"Give me my phone back." She calmly commanded, despite her racing heart. "I have nothing to say to you."
"Then just listen."
"I don't want to."
It took everything in Jimin to stay calm. She watched as the man's face showed his true emotion, as the lines formed on his forehead, as his eyes teared up in anger, and as his hand raised, throwing her phone as hard as he could to the wall when it suddenly buzzed.
It took everything in her to not let her breath out hurriedly, instead, she made it as if it was a tired sigh. "Jesus." Her phone, was everywhere.
"Why are you so in a hurry to see her?"
The last time Jimin saw Minsik showing this strong of an expression was probably back in middle school. She had never seen him this angry before. "I don't think you really want to ask me that."
"I don't!" His hands were flying around, his glaring eyes were roaming the room but would always land back on Jimin. "I don't want you to ever talk about her again, I don't want to ever hear her name coming from your mouth again, I will make sure you will never see her ever again."
Jimin had learned how to fight, but so did Minsik. And this time, he didn't have Minjeong's petite body. It would be hard to fight him without getting hurt. "Why?" She decided she should just wait. After all, if he wanted to kill her, he would've done it earlier while she was asleep. "Why are you so angry? It's not like you really loved me."
As he heard her words, he visibly faltered.
"You wanted to kill me." She stated, unable to control the hurt from showing now that they were alone. "Is it money that you want?"
"You don't understand–"
"You're right." She pursed her lips, nodded. "I don't understand."
Closing his eyes, he shook his head. "I couldn't refuse, I had to pretend I was going to go through with the plan but I really wasn't going to, I swear, Jimin, please believe me." He pleaded, voice almost cracked as he looked at her unchanging eyes. "I thought I could figure something out, it would be easier if I pretended that I was going along with his plan."
"If that's true, then why didn't you tell me?"
"Because–" He stopped himself, either from his anger, or he knew that she wouldn't like his answer.
