Something was blinding her eyes, but as quick as it came, it disappeared. Jimin was stirred out from her sleep by the faint sound of a ding. Blinking her eyes, she froze. "What.."
The smiling face above her greeted her the same time as she felt the grip on her body tightened. "Don't move, you'll fall."
They were inside an empty elevator, their apartment building's elevator that Jimin was now familiar with. It was empty, but still. Being carried in a bridal style like this awakened her senses faster, she looked around in panic. "What are you doing?" Though she said it, she held on to Minjeong tighter. "Put me down!"
But Minjeong just chuckled and shook her head, refusing. "You were so tired you fell asleep in the car. It's okay, unnie, let's use my advantage while we still can." She wriggled her eyebrows and the, now turning red as a tomato, Jimin, snorted. "I don't think I would be able to carry you like this once I'm back in my own body."
"Minjeong, put me down. I can walk on my own, I'm not that tired."
"Do you think you're taller than me?"
Jimin narrowed her eyes on her. "Of course, crazy. Have you forgotten your own body? You look as small as a puppy."
Feigning offended, Minjeong protested. "I'm not that small."
"Yes, you are. Now, put me down."
"No, your feet are swollen."
Jimin pulled her body up with the hold she had on her neck to look at her feet, which now were bare without her previous white heels. "Where are my shoes."
"Here." She felt Minjeong's fingers dancing on her upper back. "Don't move too much, I don't want to drop you."
The older woman smiled at her. "Am I heavy?"
"Light as a feather."
"Really?"
"Uh-huh." But Minjeong didn't look happy. "I think you need to eat more."
"Excuse me?"
Sighing, she pouted. "I think you've been losing weight since all of this started, I feel really bad." It was a mix between grumbling and whining, and Jimin failed to hold back her giggle. "I'm serious, unnie. I've been stressing you out."
"That's nonsense." Jimin put her palm on her cheek as the door opened. "I'm always stressed out."
Rather than laughing, Minjeong got even more upset. "Don't be proud of it." They started to walk through the hallway towards their house. "I wish you would live a healthier life. You work out a lot, always so busy, but you don't eat much." Sighing again, she paused. "I wish I could cook for you everyday– can you grab the keys in my–"
Her words were halted, but she didn't lose her grip on Minjeong even after the door suddenly opened, revealing Minsik who froze when he saw the both of them.
When he saw Jimin in Minjeong's arms, to be exact.
"Ah.." Minjeong gulped. "Minsik-ssi, I didn't know you were here."
His jaws were clenched, eyes sharp, looking at their position, lingering on where Minjeong's hands were holding Jimin and where Jimin's were holding tightly to her neck. He then forced his eyes to look back up and shifted to open the door widely. "Where did you two go? Why are you carrying her? Is she hurt?"
Despite his question, he looked fuming rather than worried.
"Cha Eun Woo has an update for us."
Hearing that, Jimin tapped Minjeong's shoulder gently. "Put me down, Minjeong." When the woman did as she asked, Jimin almost ran deeper into their house, but paused and grabbed Minjeong's hand to drag her with her. "Eun Woo?" She called out.
