2: Stay here

 I walk in her dark apartment, the walls painted in dark, green and blue. what a strange mix of colors, I notice there's a wall in the living room with a drawing. It was small so the kitchen is together with the living room I sit in a small stool. I see her spacing from side to side, fetching the cups and preparing the coffee machine.

"So, brown or white sugar?"

"Anything really" I tap the countertop to ease me

while she pours the coffee in the cups, I can stop looking at her every detail. i see she got tattoos on her arms. Linda would never, she hated that, even on men, I had to hide mine every time a went out with her. "Can you stop" she said adding the sugar.

"Mm?" I pressed my lips together in confusion

"Looking at me like that, it is making me anxious" she puts the cup in front of me.

"I'm sorry is juts that I am so confused, the fact that linda had a twin sister"

"Yes well, what was your name again?"

"lucas"

"Ok lucas, let me get this clear first, we are not going to be friends, not hanging out to remember my dead sister"

"Why not?"

"I just don't want to; it will be weird, and people can get the wrong idea"

"Understandable, now why your sister never talked to me about you?"

"Maybe you two weren't that close" 

"We dated for 8 months"

"Incredible, you must know her so well then" she said sarcastically

"And you were never in the family gatherings, I will definitely notice if you were there"

"Oh really, am I that noticeable" she walked around the table and went to sit next to a window.

"well, You are different that's for sure, can I ask you something?" i follow her to the window. she just moves her head in approval. "Do you miss your sister?"

"What kind of question is that?"

"Well, I just wonder since you don't seem so fine"

"Fare, well I don't miss her, at least not that much, you for change do look bad" she sips from her coffee

"I miss her like crazy, she was my everything" I look outside to glare at the sky

"Funny you look so different to where she normally date, I will never imagine you two together"

"Yes, i thought that to, but she was amazing" 

"She was, well, it was nice meeting you, now is time for you to go home" she stands up and walks to the door. "Be careful on your way back" she opens the door and stand by it.

"Wait, let's be friends"

"No thanks" she tries to close the door, but I put my hand to stop her.

"Why?"

"Because I don't want to, bye" she pushed harder, and I let go. I stood there for a minute, just thinking on what to say to change her mind. But i got nothing, so I went back to my car and drove back home. I took a shower and rest on bed. i was thinking in all the times linda talked about her family, never once speak of her sister, how can someone skip that part of their life, not less a twin sister. I roll in bed side to side till I fell asleep. Next morning I wake up early and went to work, all day I couldn't concentrate in nothing, I was just thinking of her. And is strange that I don't see her in a romantic way, even though she looks just like linda, but in a whole different way, is like linda but not linda. My shift was over, I go outside, and it was pouring. I ran to my car, once inside I remember a day like this was when I took linda hiking, she didn't want to go because it was raining. But i convince her somehow, we ended up fighting, well she did all the talking I was just sad that she didn't enjoy it. So, I drive to the nearest hiking woods, and I just walked on my work clothes. I hated that she didn't like it, if i did so much for her, I went to so many parties and clubs even thought I hated dancing and drinking. I ask her for one thing and she fights with me, maybe is true, we didn't have anything in common. i stopped and sit on the floor, the rain drops where hitting so hard on the dirt floor that it was spiting the mud on my clothes. How stupid am I, sitting here crying like a little kid. i was alone, nobody was around, I mean who would think to go hiking in a day of raining.
