I woke up to kisses being placed on my forehead. I smiled softly and opened my eyes. I saw Malik standing over me with waffle house. I smiled, showing all 32 and jumped up in the bed.
"Goodmorning baby." Malik said handing me my plate. I grabbed the hashbrown bowl and began eating.
"Goodmorning baeeee." I said, kind of muffled because of the food. He chuckled softly and sat on the edge of the bed.
"You excited for today?" He asked staring at me. I looked up from the plate and shook my head.
"I'm so proud of you Ariya. You're gonna do great things. Everything you've worked for in life is now paying off and I am so so proud of you." He said in the most sincere tone ever. I smiled at him and placed two kisses on his lips.
"Let's take care of that breath tho." He laughed, lying back on the bed. I slapped his chest playfully and closed the waffle house up.
Before we move on with the story, I just want to say thank you all so much for reading and supporting this book. I know I kind of ghosted you guys (IM SO SORRY LIFE KICKED MY ASS A LITTLE 😩, but I got back up duhh). And thank you especially Nylah for getting me back into it. I love you all so much, thank you.
I got up from the bed and walked into the bathroom. I ran the sink water while I used the bathroom so it could warm up. After I finished, I started doing my morning routine.
38 minutes later ...
"Mamaaaaaaa." I heard Malik calling me from the bedroom. I walked out of my closet to see what he wanted.
"Yes?" I answered.
"What you doing?" He asked me, lying in the same position I left him in.
"Umm trying to get dressed. What are you doing?" I asked him, walking closer to the bed.
"Nothing much, bored. I missed you." He said staring at me.
"I missed you too bae." I said laughing, now standing in front of him. He sat up and his eyes slowly examined my body.
"Mm." He said, with his eyes back at mine. I tilted my head to the side a little bit and stared at him.
"Mm?" I asked him, moving closer and closer.
"Mmmmm." He said placing his hands on my waist. I gave him some kisses before going back to my closet.
"Man don't turn me up." He said lying back down. I laughed loudly and started to get out my clothes. I had big plans today and I was very excited to do them.
I'm glad he got me that waffle house cause I'd be starved. Thank you to my mannn.
I started calling Jas so she could see my outfit for today and bother her of course.
*RING RI-*
"Hey bestieboo. What you doing sexy?" She said answering the phone.
"Hey bestiebae. Sitting here getting out my clothes for today. What you doing?" I replied, setting up my camera so she could get a good view.
"Ouu that is cuteee. I'm about to get up and cook I just don't know what I want yet." She said looking in her cabinets.
"How's your classes going? You having fun?" I asked her. She started her culinary classes early January, like I always told her to do.
"Omgggg it's so fun there! Yesterday we worked with raw ingredients and I learned a lot of new ways to do stuff. Everyone is so nice and helpful too. I honestly love it." She said rambling. I listened to every word while I finished getting ready.
"How are you feeling about today?" She asked coning into the camera.
"I'm so nervous I just want to do everything perfect. I'm really scared to mess this up." I answered brushing my hair into a ponytail.
"I think you'll do an amazing job as always" She said smiling gently.
"Thank you bestie. I'm gonna swing by there later today. I love youuu." I said picking up my phone.
"Ok, I love you too. And you're gonna be perfect." She said kissing the phone. I kissed the phone back and hung up.
"BAEEEEE." I said loudly to Malik.
"Huh?" He answered. I could hear him playing the game in the living room so I went to see what he was doing.
I walked into the living room and stood in the hallway entrance.
"You look good baby." He said pausing his game. I smiled and walked over to him. He pulled me onto his lap and we sat there looking at eachother.
"You so handsome." I said giving him a kiss. He stayed in the position staring at me. I could see his eyes going back and forth from each feature on my face.
"I love you Ariya." He said softly. I could see his pupils expanding in seconds. I always knew that what he felt for me was real but in this moment I KNEW.
"I love you more Marcus." I said back. He laughed putting his head down.
"Government name is crazyyy shawty." He said still laughing. I laughed and stood up. I checked the time and it read 10:38 so I knew I had to be headed out if I wanted to make it on time.
"Ok bae I'm finna leave, don't miss me too much." I said giving him two kisses. He gave me two kisses back and unpaused his game.
"I always miss you too much. Text me when you get there. Be great." He said turning his focus to his game. I grabbed my keys, stanley, purse, and lipgloss off the counter and walked to the front door.
"I lo-" I tried to say before he cut me off.
"I love you mama." He said gently, still playing his game.
"I love you more bae." I said back, smiling softly. I walked out the door and locked it behind myself. As I walked to my car and the breeze hit me a little bit I took a second to process my life.
I kept thinking about what everyone around me kept telling me and I dropped a few tears. Everything I worked for so hard all my life, WAS paying off. I knew that I was never gonna let myself fail and that's why I am where I am. I am proud of myself, I am happy, and I am gonna be great. I got this.
I reached my car and let out a big sigh. When I sat down in my seat I said a prayer that only me and God could understand. I love that he never allowed me to shut down on myself. Without him I wouldn't know where I'd be.
"In Jesus name I pray, Amen." I said softly to myself, opening my eyes. I started my car and drove up.
