The first couple of hours passed, a loud bell chimed through the rooms and halls signalling break time. I slowly got up from my seat and collected my books I'd received at the start of the day. I carefully shoved them in my bag and left the room, thoughts of Lucius entering my head. What was his problem? Surely there was nothing that interesting about me that meant he needed to stare at me?

I wandered down the corridor, which still seemed deserted as most students were in the canteen or outside. I continued to walk around aimlessly, still admiring the beauty of the school - I wasn't all used to these 'fancy' schools. That's when I noticed the same group of girls who were laughing at me earlier on. They stood in a group at the end of the corridor, as soon as I appeared they instantly turned their attention to me. There were three girls in total, one small and slightly chubby, one normal size and plastered in makeup, the other tall and quite broad.

"It's her.." One said quietly, but loud enough for me to hear on purpose. I stopped walking slightly, slowing my steps as I could tell they we're going to say something.

"Yeah."

I stared at them in confusion, watching them all look together and exchange looks as if they were reading each other's minds.

"We saw those scars on your wrists, you attention whore."

Oh shit, the scars.. I knew they were looking at something when I walked past them, now they're judging me for it? I'd gone through a lot, I'd lost my parents, been abused by my grandparents to the point where I had to move in with my older sister, and I had to constantly move schools because- well.. Bad behaviour? Self harm was the only thing that helped me, and I wished they could understand that. I wasn't prepared to take this from a bunch of popular bullies.

"Yeah, cutting yourself for attention? How low can you get?" The smaller, stouter girl sniggered, smirking back at the group who laughed at her comment to annoy me.

"Would you mind leaving me the fuck alone? I don't know you." I spat, crossing my arms as I stared at them blankly. They shared a look of confusion on their faces, as if to say 'nobody has ever stood up to us before, what do we do?'

"Excuse me?" The badly manufactured Barbie doll-like one asked sarcastically. "Who the hell do you think you are?"

"A student who would like to get to her lesson? You're blocking the door." I murmured, tapping my foot in aggravation. One girl began to walk towards me whilst the others smirked and followed. Before I had the chance to react, the blonde girl snatched my (h/c) hair and began to drag me to the girls bathroom. As much as I struggled and scratched at her arms, she was surprisingly strong and could stand my attempts of freedom. Though I could tell from the look on her face that she wasn't enjoying it.

She threw me into a cubicle, slamming me onto the top of a toilet with a thud. All girls began to start grabbing at my hair, scratching me with their abnormally long fake nails and kicking me. The big one even punched me around the face, of course I did try to fight back. I landed a few scratches and slaps myself, giggling to myself time to time as I heard the screams of them.

Then, something abrupt happened. Two of the girls were suddenly thrown back from in front of me. They both crashed against the bathroom walls, it was as if they were being pulled back by force. That's when I noticed something rather weird through the doors, a flash of two red eyes stood outside the room.
The remaining girl screamed and ran towards the other two, who scrambled to their feet and ran out of the room, not once looking back at me.

I brushed myself down and flattened my hair, getting out of the cubicle and heading to a mirror. There was blood pouring from my nose and mouth, I wiped it with my sleeve and headed out of the room, only to be greeted and shocked by Lucius stood outside. He looked down on me, he was at least 12 inches taller than me, making me feel rather small. Now I was close up to him, I could make out a few more details. He had faint dark circles under his eyes, and a few freckles dotted around his face. His eyes were a deep chocolate brown, they can't of been the red ones I saw before, could they?

He stared into my eyes, sending a chill through me. "Y-yes?" I hesitated awkwardly, not knowing what to do.

"You should go to the nurse." He blankly said, his voice rather quiet and mysterious. I frowned slightly.

"Oh god, is it obvious we fought?" I asked, feeling around my face for anymore blood or cuts that could be obvious. He nodded slightly, I sighed. "Great."

"You need to go to the nurse, (y/n)." He calmly demanded again. How could he remember my name? Did he take note of it? My eyes widened and I opened my mouth to respond, but decided it was best just to leave it.

"Thank you for caring, but I'm just going to go home." I weakly smiled, I stopped when I saw he didn't exchange the smile, all on his face was a look of concern. I slowly turned my heel and headed for the entrance.
