This chapter may lead to some controversy since this has been a hot debate for centuries. Is are we saved as long as we believe in Jesus Christ? Well there are many answers actually support yes and some support no. I will mainly focus on yes your saved regardless if you sin or not and give my opinion on it. So remember take this chapter with a grain of salt because it's not up us if we are saved only up to Jesus Christ since he did die for OUR sins.
This chapter will be more structured since it is a debate for centuries. In this paragraph I will be discussing why Jesus Christ did what he did in order to save humanity. Now for one Jesus Christ did it because he loves us to a point where he died for us. For one Jesus Christ wants all of us to be saved or in other words wants to save as many souls as possible. That is the end goal to save as many as he can. Remember Jesus Christ gives us free will in order to decide for ourselves if we want to be with him or not. After all if we get saved we will be spending all of eternity with Jesus Christ. Yes people would argue that all souls belongs to God which is said in old and New Testament, but Jesus prefers if we follow him willingly.
Now that we established the goal that Jesus wants to save as many souls as possible I will show evidence supporting it. In John 10:27-29 (KJV21) it states "27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me. 28 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand." Here in 28 he says no one can take any man from his hands and doubles down in 29 again no one can take any man from his hands. So once you become saved and decide to give yourself to Jesus Christ, then no one can steal you away. Plus to be fair we belong to Jesus because he created us so by right he belong to Jesus in terms of being our creator. In John 3:17 (KJV21) "17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." Here he came to save the world not to condemn the world, so his end goal is to save as many as he can. Of course human free will comes into play so it's up to us if we want to be saved or not. If we do want to be saved then we have that gift, and that gift is so precious because we did nothing to earn it. All Jesus wants is for us to get to know him, and have a relationship with him. Hence it's called the war of souls, both sides fighting for your soul. For those who are still in the world all Jesus asks is for you to seek him, and to love him. That's basically it and remember we are all SINNERS there's no excuse into hiding it. You lose nothing into believing in Jesus Christ, and you gain everything if you believe in him. All you have to do is depend on him and he will do the rest. Of course remember Rome wasn't build in a day so if you still sin then that is fine, because over time Jesus will mold you into what your meant to be. So have faith brothers and sisters if you fall Jesus will always be there to pick up the pieces, and he will always love you. As long as you put the work into changing he will step in and give you a hand.
In 1 Timothy 1:15 states (KJV21) "15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst." Jesus came to save the world that is full of sinners not to condemn it. Here is a classic quote that is always quoted in many churches that is John 3:16 (KJV21) "16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" here anyone's who believes in Jesus will not die and will receive a gift of enteral life. Gifts aren't earn it's freely given to you as long as you accept it. This war of our souls is a brutal war, and this war many people die. It's up to you to be saved or forever perish, but once you accept that gift of being saved you shall forever be saved. Remember if you can't earn your salvation then what makes you think you'll be able to keep your salvation. No one can keep their salvation or even earn it, if that was the case then Jesus didn't need to pay our debt of death.
