Wedding bells gone wrong

Prakash: Come beta.
He calls Neil to the centre of the hall. Joydeep calls Mitali also. Both hesitate to
go. But prakash hold them both by shoulder and bring them to the platform which is decorated beautifully. Swetha & Bebe also join.
Swetha: Prakash ji aap mera dil khush kardiya. I m so happy. Neil... did you like this surprise? Actually I told Prakash ji and Joydeep bhai to make you and Mitali surprise.
Neil:(wispers) Dad, Why this engagement? I mean... so abruptly?
Prakash: (wispering)What happened beta? You had told us to find a suitable girl. And don't be stressed wedding is not today.

Mitali looks Ali with agony. Ali is standing still looking at Mitali. Avni is sweeping her eyes over everyone standing on the platform and finally meets with Neil's eyes. She felt something stinging in her chest.
Joydeep: Let's have a family photo. Prakash: Why not.
They click pictures. Then ask the photographer to click pictures of Neil & Mitali.
Mitali to Joydeep: You fixed my marriage without asking my consent?
Joydeep:We will talk about this later. Don't create a scene now!
Mitali: But papa, this is not..
Joydeep holds Mitali's hands & squeeze it. Joydeep: What did I just say? We will talk. Ab chup chap photo keechne do. Don't force me to shout in front of our guests and don't insult Prakash & family.
Mitali goes & stand near Neil. Neil was also not interested.
Prakash: (low voice)kya hua bhai? You were talking very happily with her a while ago?
Neil: Dad, I need to talk to you.
Prakash: Ok. After the party.
Swetha: arey, itna door kyu khade ho, paas ajao dono.( She bring Neil and Mitali
close)
Swetha: kya khub jodi h. Perfect. Made for eachother.
Neil looks at Avni and she looks away from Neil.
Photographer clicks Neil & Mitali 's pictures. Seeing that Ali's eyes turn red he strom out of the hall. Mitali's
eyes get wet & she got worried. Mitali signals Avni to look for Ali. Avni noddes at her best friend and follow Ali.

Neil in mind: Avni.. where is she going? Is she feeling bad on the news of my engagement? If that's the case, she must have some feelings for me right?
He smiles.
Outside the house Avni looks for Ali & find him about to start his bike. She soon go & grab his key.
Avni: Ali, where are you going?
Ali: (controlling his anger)give me my keys Avni.
Avni: No. I know what you are feeling... seeing all these...
Ali: sach mei Avni? Do you really know what I m feeling right now?
Avni pauses for a while. Neil's smiling face pops up in her head.
Ali: Tumhe pata h, mein aaj nannu ko bata diya tha. I told nannu that Mitali and I love eachother and .. want to marry. She was... she was so happy (he takes a
box & opens it) and gave this kangan. To give Mitali. This is my mom's. And I thought what could be a better birthday gift than this for Mitali.
Avni: Ali jo hua usme Mitali ki koi galati nahi h. She was as shocked as yourself. She didn't know anything.

Inside the hall swetha was talking to
Mitali & others are busy.
Neel: I should meet Avni now. I need to talk to her.
He goes out searching her.

Outside:

Ali: I knew this all the while that her father may not accept us. Mene mitali se
kaha bhi tha agar usse mein aur uski papa se kisi ek ko chunni padi to wo kya karegi?
Avni: chup kar ali. Aisa kuch nahi hoga. Just be positive.
Ali: You know, We are together for 5 years now. And everything is going to end...
Avni: No Ali, Stop this. You have to be strong for your love. For Mitali. You know how much she loves you. Do you really think she will leave you? Let's talk to uncle. Let's bring nannu also.
Ali can't control his grief & anger. His eyes wet.
Avni: Ali tumna bilkul pagal ho! Just they have talked about an alliance, nothing happened. Pata h aise situations mei aksar ladkiya roti h. Tum kyu ro rahe ho yaar?
Ali:(with shivering voice) Kisne kaha pyar keliye sirf ladkiyan hi roti h? Men also have lacrimal gland.
Avni smiles and  hugs him. Ali also hugs her back.

Neil was watching all this from a distance. He is shocked seeing Avni hugs Ali. Neil's eyes becomes wet. He slowly steps back & turns back. That visual pierced
his heart. He again look back to confirm what he has just seen is truth. He sees Avni & Ali are smiling looking at eachother. He couldn't hear them. All the instances in which Ali & Avni were together came to his
mind just like flashes. Diwali day Ali comes to pick up Avni, how Ali cared Avni in hospital, their cute fight & many more instances. His pain & grief soon turned into anger. He is angry to Ali, Avni & also to himself. Neil couldn't bear it. He threw his mobile phone down. It shattered into pieces.
