Avneil's Deewali Celebration

Neel & Avni reach office at same time. Avni to Ali: On time! Thanks alot Ali. If you were not there, I wouldn't be able to make it on time?
Ali: Don't be so formal Avni. I m your friend. Call me when you're done. I can come to pick you up.
Avni: Ok. Sure dude. So sweet of you.

They have a side hug. Neel frowns at them. Ali leaves and Avni walks fast towards Neel.
Neel in mind: Who is this man? Why she came with him?
He notices that Avni is wearing lehanga. She looks beautiful in this attire. He admires her.
Avni: I hope I am not late.
Neel: Yes. But are you here for any traditional theme party?
Avni: I..It's because..there was a family function at home. You asked me come fast so I came directly, without wasting a minute.
Neel: Thank God you were not in fitness centre.
Avni: What?..
Neel: nothing. Let's go inside.
They enter the office.
Neel: Today I have a video conference with foreign clients. Take all those files I have given to you.
Avni: Ok sir.
Neel enter his cabin and prepares for conference. Avni takes the files from her table and neatly arrange it. She handover it to Neel. Neel is happy because Avni has also made a brief write up on that project which was very helpful. Neel finishes the conference.
An overwhelming Neel comes out from his cabin which surprises Avni.
Avni ( amused):It's for the first time I m seeing him like this. Why he is so excited?

Neel approaches Avni & was about to give a hug to Avni. But, Avni stops him just before he could hug her. Avni with a shocking expression: Sir. .sir. excuse me?
Neel smiles sheepishly.
Neel: Oh sorry. Actually I am really happy. You know this is my dream project and they are convinced. We got the deal.
Avni : (excited)Congratulations sir.
Neel: Thank you so much.
Avni: Are you thanking me? She looks Neel in confusion.
Neel: Can you see anyone else other than us?
Avni: I can't believe.
Neel: Hello, I m not that arrogant to not to appreciate the deserving employees. Avni in low voice: Atleast accept to kiya thoda arrogant h.
Neel frowns.
Neel: Tumne mujhe bahut help ki. Aur Ghar ke function beech mei chodkar tum yaha ayi mera help karne. Thanks once again.
Avni: It's ok sir. Afterall this is my job and I am working for ur company. It's my duty.
Neel: Phir bhi. I want to do something for you.
Avni: No sir iski koi zaroorat nahi. I hope you will throw a party for the staff After the paperwork.
Neel: of course I will do that. But now, for you. Bolo Avni kya chahiye ?
Avni : Agar itna insist kar rahe he to...Aap ko mere sath kahi chalna padega.
Neel: Sure. Par kaha?
Avni: I will tell you. They enter in Neel's car. Neel: bolo kaha jana hei?
Avni: Ganesh sweets.
Neel : Ok.
They reach there. Avni buy a lot of sweets. Neel pays.
Neel: Tum itni saari sweets akele kha sakti kya?
Avni smiles. They also buy many diyas, oil, lanterns etc. They enter car again. Avni gives direction to Neel. They goes. Neel throw glances at Avni in between. Avni ask Neel to stop the car near a board. It's an orphanage.
Avni: Sir, I hope you don't mind to share your happiness here.
Both of them smiles. They enter into the office of orphanage and get permission. After that they go to children. Children come running Towards Avni.
Children: Avni didi..Avni stands on her knee hugs the children.
Neel: Tum yaha aksar aati rahti ho? Children: ha..sari Sunday di yaha aate hei air hamare sath khelte hei . Sweets khilate hei.
Avni: Par aaj ka treat inki taraf se hei. Child1: ye kon hei apki boyfriend he kya?
Both of them looks eachother in amusement.
Avni: Nahi nahi. Ye Mr. Neel khanna hei mera boss. Aaj inka bahut khushi ka din hei isliye inhe Aap sab ke sath Diwali manane aye hei.
Children: yeee...
Children claps and starts to dance. They all arrange diyas. Avni and some children make rangoli. One naughty girl dip her hand in colour powder and put a stray mark on Avni's Nose. Avni looks the girl with raised eyebrows and smiles. Then she rub her nose against that child's nose and colour her nose like that. Neel is watching all this and smiles. Neel in mind: I think she is in good mood today. I haven't seen her smiling like this. Her smile... uff.. Its so alluring. Then some children drags Neel to light diya. Avni also joins. After that Avni lights a lantern. Neel helps her. Avni is looking up but Neel is staring her. The light from lantern brighten her face and twinkles her eyes.( can you imagine?)

Dekha hazaron dafa aapko
Phir beqarari kaisi hai
Sambhale sambhalta nahi ye dil
Kuch aap mein baat aisi hai

Neel is holding lantern even after avni leaves it as he is lost in his dreamland.
Avni: Sir chod do lantern ko.
Neel quickly leaves it. It goes high very high. Everyone watch it. Then they help children to do it. They give sweets to everyone. At last they bid bye to children and come out..

Neel: Avni sach mei aaj mein bahut bahut khush hoon. I can't even express what I am feeling right now. I have done many charity donations and all but never got satisfaction like this. Avni : we all donate alot of money which is very easy but that doesn't give any feeling. When, we spent our time with them as on among them, our heart can feel the love. We get the mental satisfaction. That's the difference.
Neel smiles in agreement.
Neel:Thank you so much Avni for these moments. I will never forget this day. Both smiles. Then Avni's mobile rings..
Neel sees the screen.
It shows "Ali calling ". Neel's smile vanishes.
