Footsteps echoed across the empty lab as Averine traversed through the different sections of the bottom floor. The search for anything resembling security wasn't turning up, and it felt as if time was dragging. Traversing through such a large laboratory blindly was proving to be a very not efficient idea. She entered room after room, but not once did she find one that even hinted what direction would be the correct one.

The process looped for what felt like hours until she entered a room that raised every hair on her body. A faint static current filled it and made it an effective shock room. Averine swiftly backed out of the room as quickly as she entered, yet the feeling of static never left her body. With a curious raise of her hand, her signature mist was now much more difficult to manifest due to the jittering. However. . . now that she was already affected, the rooms main appeal seemed less threatening.

A moment of searching and digging led her to find a screen of schematics. A few of them were things that the public was already introduced to, such as automatic vacuums, electric engines, and a. . . a trapezoid with wheels? That one was certainly an outlier. . . maybe they never finished it?

File after file was opened and searched through, and soon enough she stumbled upon the schematics for the very machine they were trying to get to: The Transfuser. It didn't look the same as she remembered it but the base of the machine matched it. It had page after page of it's information: the process, risks, and how the resulting person ends up. More often then not they end up as a person with two sides unless they. . . silence the other? How that was done wasn't stated however. It apparently served as the bunker room of the lab due to how strong the doors were. The only thing she didn't find was how it could fail with so much detail and precision the technology used. Either those. . . people have been down here for a long time, or something was out of place.

Just as she covered her steps and left the room, she was lucky enough to find a code for. . . a lockdown? It was labeled as being universal to the lab. . . which would definitely serve as useful if she could trigger it. If that really was a bunker, maybe it would open with the lockdown. A rather dangerous way of thinking, but it could potentially be worth it. Worst case scenario they get arrested for breaking and entering. . . . which is definitely not ideal.

Haven and Error continued their attempts to get past the door, only just now getting to denting it. Haven's hands were starting to bruise from the repeated strikes, and Error was busy staring at the pseudo-black hole from before. The residual pain was finally too much for Haven to handle and they stepped away from the door, shaking off the pain as they rested their body.

˗ˋˏ°• You know, this would be a lot easier if you weren't making me do this by myself. •°ˎˊ˗

⦅ Yeah, yeah that's great. . . ⦆

He wasn't listening. Of course he wasn't listening. They had one moment of tolerance with that horde, but it flipped like a switch. Amidst their shunning thoughts of Averines. . . . friend, Haven noticed the bracelet that she was given wasn't. . . bracelet-ing. It's shape was still there but it wasn't solid, just a ring of pink mist. She tried touching it and- Oh theory disproven. It was still solid, just not in the shape it was meant to be. . . ? If this was supposedly attached to her. . . was she okay?

˗ˋˏ°• Hey Error, did you happen to see what way Averine went? Her bracelet is. . . distorting kind of. •°ˎˊ˗

⦅ You miss her already? It's only been a few days. Cliingyy.

˗ˋˏ°• That's literally not what I'm talki─days? Nevermind, just look. •°ˎˊ˗

Errors eyes peeled off of the spatial attraction and turned to Haven's topic of concern, and he now saw what they saw.
