San
A fresh new day has arrived.
Precisely three full days have gone by since and he had secretly been supporting Wooyoung and his bandmate's upcoming performance for the sports festival and intramurals next month.
San sat in his usual seat in his English class. His laptop displayed open on the desk, fingers typing in the last paragraph of his History homework.
His earpods stuffed in his ears, blasting music on full volume. Attention focused on the screen that he didn't even realize someone taking a seat beside him.
"You're really doing your homework at the last minute?" Wooyoung's voice ringed in his ears, even with the airpods in, he could hear him clear as day.
San immediately removes both of them, a little startled. "Since when did we have english together?" last time he checked, he did not share a single class with him except yesterday with math.
"Since today." Wooyoung simply says.
He didn't question it any further, matter of fact he did not mind at all having Wooyoung seated beside him in two of his classes now.
San glanced back to the laptop screen, sending the now finished homework to his history professor. While it was still sending and the professor hasn't arrived yet for her class, San striked a short conversation.
"Hey, I just wanted to say that you're an amazing guitarist." San complimented with a small smile, stealing a glance over at Wooyoung.
"Thanks, I've been playing the electric guitar since I was thirteen." Wooyoung simply responded, not even looking at San. Too busy scrolling on his social medias.
San bit his lower lip in embarrassment, he looked away from Wooyoung to shut down his laptop and place it away inside his bagpack.
Just then his eyes caught someone who walked past his side to reach the seats a few rows behind him. He unintentionally makes eye contact with Jhinena.
She flashed him a wide smile and San would be a jerk if he didn't smile back. He mirrored her as she stopped right infront of him.
"Hey, I haven't talked to you in a while. How are you?" she happily asked.
"Hi, I'm alright. What about you?"
"Definitely better." she cheered, "I'm surprised you look good now."
San smiled bashfully, "Oh, it's nothing. Working out became my new hobby."
"I can see the difference. It's good to talk to you again but I bet Ms. Jan is on her way and about to burst through that door." Jhinena playfully said.
San didn't say anything, just chuckled at her words. They waved at each other before Jhinena proceeded to walk further back in the classroom to find her seat.
He sat there, just smiling to himself. Now he remembered exactly why he fell for her in the first place. Atleast they were good friends now.
"So, say.. how come you've never been to our shows but happened to be present since tuesday during practice?" Wooyoung looked his way, elbow resting on the desk with his chin ontop of his palm.
San made eye contact with him for a moment, "I was heading back to the dorms when I saw my friend Yunho walking to the practice room, he practically pulled me in aswell. He's dating one of your bandmates, I believe Mingi was his name." he casually lied.
Wooyoung just nodded without another word because the professor busted through the door and immediately began the lesson.
Halfway through class, she randomly announced a partner project. "As your final project for this semester, your seatmate will automatically be your partner for this project. All you have to do is prepare research papers containing all of shakespeare's famous works as the topic. Deadline is by the end of next week, this will be half of your grade. Late passed outputs will strictly not be accepted. Are we clear?"
Everyone in the classroom groaned in annoyance at the announcement. They were already drowning with unfinished schoolworks and it seems to keep going.
San had to hide his face in his palms in frustration, Wooyoung looked like he was about to lose it.
"You can throw your complaints out the window, class dismissed." she announced before walking out thr classroom.
Atleast that made things a little lighter. They had still 30 minutes left before the last period right before lunch is over.
San who's cheek is now pressed against his notepad looked at Wooyoung, "Do you want to get it done sooner?"
"Why?" Wooyoung frowned at the sudden question.
"You know so we could finish it early. This is the only big project given to us, the sooner we get it done the longer we can focus on different things, like just chilling around." San explained, was he too specific with his reasons?
Wooyoung stood up after packing his belongings together, "Tomorrow's saturday, do you have any classes?"
"No." San lightly shook his head.
"Good, meet me in the library tomorrow at 8am." Wooyoung finalized.
San wasn't even given the chance to say anything else when he walked off, leaving San dumbfounded in his seat.
He grabbed all of his belongings and exited the room aswell as everybody else. Then Yunho happened to walk by just in time, "There you are!"
"Hey?" San frowned at his enthusiasm.
"I've been looking for you for the past half hour now!"
"I had English." San responded.
"Oh right I forgot you didn't have this hour free. Anyways, want to have lunch with the band? Mingi and the others want to meet you." Yunho excitedly says.
San frowned once more, "Me?" he pointed to himself, eyes roaming around to see if he was possibly talking to anyone else. But it was just him and Yunho.
"Ofcourse. I mean who wouldn't want to meet the Choi San?" he teasingly nudged his arm.
"I wouldn't."
Yunho rolled his eyes and grabbed his arm, "Oh shut up and let me introduce you to them."
