San
The very next morning, San was running with a cup of iced coffee and a straw between his lips to the campus' library to meet Wooyoung for their paired up project.
Time check, it was now 8:12am. San was late for 12 minutes on their agreed time meet up. The rain outside had San stuck inside the coffee shop nearby and he had to ran in the light pouring rain with his favorite book slightly drenched in rain. It was upsetting but he cared more on not disappointing Wooyoung by coming late than planned.
He busted through the library doors, immediately receiving a warning from the librarian at the front desk. Attentions turned to San who just shook their head and continued to do where they were disturbed.
Ahead of him, he catches Wooyoung shaking his head unimpressed aswell. He was carrying a pile of books in his arms before walking to a table which had all of his belongings scattered around it, as a sign that the table was occupied.
San quickly made his way to him, he placed down his drink and book before tugging off his grey hoodie that was soaked in rain and wrapping around a chair. He couldn't even help but notice that they wore matching hoodies. Shaking off the thought, he went after Wooyoung to help.
"Do you know what time it is?" Wooyoung questioned without looking at him.
"I'm sorry, I just passed by the café to grab breakfast and it suddenly poured, didn't have an umbrella with me." San sincerely apologized and calmly explained.
Wooyoung just hummed.
"I bought some pastries as an apology." San mentions, hoping it'll make things a little lighter.
"I already ate." Wooyoung replied.
"Doesn't matter, you can take them with you back to the dorms." San offered.
"No thank you." Wooyoung declined, "Just help me find books about shakespeare and you're good." he blankly remarked.
San didn't knew Wooyoung could be this dry and blunt. He should've expected this from him but he didn't. Although Wooyoung pretty much looked like he would be the type of person to be really stubborn and cold, he should've foreshadowed it beforehand.
The male didn't argue any further and helped him search for the books they specifically needed for this project.
After a while, him and Wooyoung finally sat down at the table. San opened his laptop, taking a seat beside him and sipping his drink.
"I was thinking about a vintage look for the project but I'm all ears for your suggestions and ideas, if you have any." San says, starting a conversation and for them to finally exchange some words.
Wooyoung side eyed him after opening the book on a random page, "I'm not creative when it comes to these kind of projects." he admits.
"That's alright." San reassured.
"I can help you research about his famous works but I can't provide any creativity." Wooyoung mentions.
"That'll do, as long as we both work on this." he flashed him a small smile which wasn't returned, Wooyoung went back to reading more about shakespeare's famous works. Romeo and Juliet specifically.
San sunk in his seat out of embarrassment. How did Wooyoung always manage to make San feel this way? He was so awkward with him it isn't funny anymore. He's never been this bashful with anyone else before it was driving him mad.
"I didn't think you would be this talkative." Wooyoung mentions, he must've noticed San's state.
He sat back up straightly, "I'm sorry."
Wooyoung frowned at him, "You did nothing wrong."
"I'm probably annoying you, I should just shut up."
"Talk as much as you want, just minimize your voice." Wooyoung says.
San raised a brow at his words.
"You don't want to be kicked out of the library, do you?" San stared at where Wooyoung was pointing at.nCaught off guard when he sees the strict librarian, almost glaring at them. At San specifically.
San hid his face between the pages of the open book and slouched back in his seat. Pretending to not see her until she walked away with her nose pointed up in the sky.
A small chuckle of amusement escaped Wooyoung's lips and San didn't miss the chance to witness it for the first time.
That light but tender giggle that were almost music to his ears. San has never heard something so sweet in his entire life. His eyes sparkled, staring at Wooyoung with that endearing face of his.
Right when he was also smiling like an idiot, Wooyoung catched a glimpse of San's reaction that his smile immediately dropped. His face tensed and he was back to being cold again.
Wooyoung really was something else.
