"What are you smiling at your phone for?" you heard your mom say from the couch.

"Yeah, you got a boyfriend, honey?" your dad said suggestively. He was wearing your mom's frilly pink apron, making breakfast. He had his own apron but he preferred wearing your mother's. "—or girlfriend!"

"Shut up, Dad." you groaned but still kept the smile. "Can Lynn sleepover?"

"Sure, honey. You don't even have to ask anymore, she's here every day." your mom flips on her back.

You hum in response, getting up to take a piece of toast from the plate your dad was using.

"Hey! Not done yet!" whipping his head from you and the pan he was making bacon on.

"I'm gonna go, Lynn's waiting for me outside." you put your shoes on, rushing to the door. Usually, she'd already be waiting on the porch in the mornings for school.

When you opened the front door, Lynn Loud Jr. was holding a football under her right arm and her one and only male sibling on the left.

He smiles at you way too enthusiastically for so early in the morning. "Morning, Linc."

"Good morning, (Y/N)! I was wondering if-" Before he could finish, Lynn places a finger on his mouth.

She looks at Lincoln pointedly, "Lincoln over here wanted a ride to school. Can he come with us?" She looks over at you.

She was sporting a low ponytail under her cap and was wearing her classic red jersey. She looks too good today.

You smile in return. "Sure thing. Any reason you're coming to school so early, Linc?"

"Well, we were-"

Before he could finish, Lynn shushes him once more. "He's preparing a surprise for his little crush—"

"Lynn!" Lincoln hits his older sister on the arm, well, tries. Lynn dodges of course.

You shake your head at Lynn, "Tsk tsk tsk, such a mean older sister. You should be setting a good example, no?"

"Did you just 'tsk' at me?" she cocks her head at you, rushing into the passenger seat and plugging her phone into the stereo.

"Yeah, Lynn! you provide such a bad example to your siblings." Lincoln remarks smugly from the back seat, crossing his arms and all.

That just owes him a cap thrown at his head.

"So we're on for the sleepover right?" Lynn asks before you two part.

At this time, you two didn't have to come to school this early, not when both your classes started in an hour. The halls were practically echoing from the emptiness. But the council was prepping for the upcoming game and Lynn wanted to get her practice in. So, coming to school early was the only way.

"Yup." you shut your locker. "You going to the field?"

She's leaning against the locker next to yours, bouncing the football on her right foot. "Why? you coming?"

You nod in reply, "Sure, why not? None of the council arrive this early anyway. You're the only anomaly to want to wake up so early in the morning."

"Woah, princess! You're next to me, aren't you?" She puts two hands up in defense. She places a finger on her chin and pretends to think. "Hm, I wonder who it was that was driving the car I was in to school this morning?"

Princess? Your jaw almost drops at the new nickname. You bump your shoulder into her. "Shut up, El." rolling your eyes for dramatic effect.

A smug smirk makes its way to her face, which is way too attractive than it should've been. She kicks the football up to her hands and walks away. She doesn't wait to see if you follow or not.
