The early morning sunlight streamed gently through the curtains, casting a soft golden hue across the bed. Dazai, unsurprisingly, had woken much too early, his dark eyes already scanning the room with restless energy. Beside him, Chuuya was still fast asleep, his red hair tousled and spread across the pillow as he lay peacefully on his side, completely unaware of the mischief brewing next to him.

Dazai couldn't resist. He turned onto his side, propping himself up on one elbow as he studied Chuuya's serene face. "How can you sleep so soundly?" he muttered under his breath, though the affectionate smile playing on his lips betrayed the warmth he felt just watching him. After a few more minutes of silence, Dazai leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss against Chuuya's forehead.

"Chuuya..." he murmured, his lips brushing just above Chuuya's brow. He let his hand slip under the covers, grazing softly against Chuuya's bare chest beneath his shirt, fingers playing lightly over his warm skin.

Chuuya shifted slightly, but his eyes remained firmly closed, his body relaxed as he continued to sleep soundly. Dazai chuckled quietly at his lover's stubbornness and pressed another kiss, this time to Chuuya's temple. "Oi, Chuuya... it's morning already."

Chuuya stirred a little, his lips parting with a sleepy groan, but he didn't wake. "Mmm... just five more minutes..." he grumbled, his voice thick with sleep.

Dazai grinned, his fingers lazily tracing over Chuuya's chest, teasing circles around his nipples. "Five more minutes? What do you take me for, someone with patience?" He pressed a kiss to Chuuya's neck, trailing his lips down toward his collarbone, just enough to make Chuuya squirm.

"Stop it... 'm sleeping," Chuuya slurred, still buried in his dreams, though his body was already betraying him, arching slightly into Dazai's touch. His hand reached out instinctively to swat Dazai away, but Dazai easily dodged it, pressing his hand more firmly against Chuuya's chest, brushing his fingers teasingly across one nipple, then the other.

"You're not fooling anyone, Chuuya," Dazai whispered, his voice low and playful. "You're awake now, aren't you?"

Chuuya grunted, his brows furrowing in irritation, but he stubbornly kept his eyes closed. "You're so annoying..."

Dazai's lips curved into a mischievous smile, enjoying the way Chuuya's body reacted despite his protests. His hand slid further down Chuuya's stomach, brushing the sensitive skin just above his waistband before moving back up to his chest, his fingers rolling over Chuuya's nipples again, this time a little more insistent.

Chuuya's breath hitched slightly, and he finally cracked one eye open, glaring sleepily at Dazai. "You're seriously testing my patience, Dazai," he muttered, his voice rough with sleep. But before Dazai could reply, Chuuya's hand shot out, grabbing a fistful of Dazai's shirt and yanking him down.

Their lips met in a heated kiss, Chuuya pulling Dazai close as he deepened the kiss almost immediately, his other hand tangling in Dazai's hair. The sudden intensity made Dazai hum in surprise, but he quickly gave in, kissing Chuuya back with equal fervor. His body pressed fully against Chuuya's, his weight sinking into the mattress as their lips moved together, slow but passionate.

Chuuya bit lightly on Dazai's bottom lip, earning a soft groan from him before pulling back, breathless. "There, happy now?" he rasped, his voice laced with both annoyance and affection.

Dazai smirked, not bothering to hide his satisfaction. "Very. I'd say that's a good start to the morning."

Chuuya rolled his eyes, but a small smile tugged at his lips. He let out a huff and tugged Dazai closer again, but this time, instead of another heated kiss, he wrapped his arms around Dazai's waist, pulling him into a comfortable embrace. Dazai, pleasantly surprised, nuzzled into Chuuya's neck, his own arms snaking around Chuuya's back as he settled into the warmth of their bodies pressed together.

"Seriously," Chuuya mumbled, his breath warm against Dazai's ear. "I told you... five more minutes. But you just couldn't wait, could you? You can't go one morning without being a pain in the ass, can you?"

"I'm just making sure you don't waste the morning," Dazai murmured, his voice softening as his fingers lazily traced patterns along Chuuya's back. "Besides, I missed being in your arms. You're only nice half asleep afterall~"

Chuuya's chest vibrated with a quiet chuckle. "You're ridiculous."

"And yet you love me for it," Dazai teased, his lips brushing lightly against Chuuya's shoulder as they lay tangled together, the lingering heat from their kiss fading into a comfortable warmth.

Chuuya let out a soft sigh, his grip around Dazai tightening slightly as he nuzzled closer. "Yeah, yeah... don't get used to it, though."

Dazai's smirk softened into something more tender as he rested his head against Chuuya's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. "Too late," he whispered, closing his eyes. His hands still moved lazily over Chuuya's body, though now with more affection than teasing, his touch gentle as he held Chuuya close.

For a moment, they lay in silence, just the sound of their breathing and the soft rustling of the sheets filling the room. The usual banter fell away, replaced by a sense of calm as they simply enjoyed the quiet together, bodies tangled in a lazy embrace.

After a while, Chuuya's fingers absentmindedly ran through Dazai's hair, the soothing motion nearly lulling Dazai into the rarest of luxuries; true relaxation. "Next time," Chuuya muttered sleepily, "just let me sleep in, alright?"

Dazai chuckled softly, his hand brushing gently across Chuuya's back. "We'll see."

Chuuya sighed, but there was no real frustration behind it. He shifted slightly, pressing a soft kiss to the top of Dazai's head before closing his eyes again, already feeling himself drifting back to sleep.

Dazai, content, let his eyes fall shut as well, his fingers still idly tracing over Chuuya's skin. He didn't sleep often, but there was something about the warmth of Chuuya's body next to his that made him want to stay like this just a little longer.

Maybe, just this once, he could allow himself to enjoy the morning without rushing to cause trouble.
