The night had started out with them at the edge of a quiet dock, far away from the bustling lights of the city, surrounded only by the sounds of nature. They had just wrapped up a mission, the kind that always left them on edge, and the dock was meant to be a place to wind down. Yet, as usual, being alone with Dazai meant things would spiral out of control in ways Chuuya never quite anticipated.

They had bickered, of course they had. It was their way, a dynamic so ingrained in them it sometimes felt like breathing. Dazai had said something infuriating, teasing Chuuya about his temper and control, smirking in that way that always drove him mad. And Chuuya, unable to resist the bait, had shoved Dazai in response.

The shove was light, nothing serious. But with Dazai's penchant for dramatics, he let himself stumble back, straight into the water with an exaggerated splash. Chuuya had barely had time to register what happened before Dazai's hand shot out, pulling Chuuya in with him.

"Oi, you bastard!" Chuuya had sputtered as he crashed into the cold water, his clothes instantly drenched, his body colliding with Dazai's.

Dazai just laughed, his arms already wrapping around Chuuya's waist to keep him close. "Well, you pushed me first, Chuuya."

Chuuya had glared at him, his auburn hair dripping wet, water streaming down his face, but the anger didn't last. Not when they were both waist-deep in water, with Dazai looking far too smug for his own good.

"What are you going to do about it, hmm?" Dazai's voice had taken on that familiar, dangerously soft tone that sent shivers down Chuuya's spine for reasons he would never admit out loud.

Before he could respond, Dazai pulled him closer, their bodies pressed together in the cool lake. Chuuya's heart raced, though whether from the cold or the proximity, he couldn't say. He could feel the warmth of Dazai's breath against his lips, the teasing smile fading into something more serious, more intimate.

"Shut up," Chuuya muttered, though the words lacked conviction, his breath catching as he stared into Dazai's eyes. His hand drifted to Dazai's chest, meaning to push him away, but instead, he found his fingers gripping the fabric of Dazai's soaked shirt.

"Make me," Dazai whispered, the taunt laced with a tenderness that only they understood.

Chuuya's resolve crumbled, the weight of the night, the mission, the constant back-and-forth between them, all of it boiled down to this moment. He closed the distance, his lips crashing against Dazai's in a kiss that was far from gentle. It was demanding, raw, and desperate, as if he could pour all the unsaid words, the hidden emotions, into that one kiss.

Dazai responded instantly, his hands tightening around Chuuya's waist, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them. Their lips moved together in a rhythm that was both familiar and new, a slow burn that spread warmth through the cold water surrounding them. Chuuya's fingers threaded through Dazai's damp hair, tugging lightly as he deepened the kiss, needing more, always needing more when it came to Dazai.

The kiss lingered, their lips brushing and colliding with a hunger that neither of them could contain. It wasn't just a stolen moment this time. This kiss was longer, more intimate, a silent confession of everything they never said out loud. Dazai's hand slid up to cradle the back of Chuuya's neck, his fingers curling into the wet strands of his hair as he tilted his head, allowing them to kiss even deeper. The world around them faded, the sounds of the water, the wind, everything, replaced by the feel of each other.

Chuuya's breath hitched when Dazai's lips parted slightly, and he felt the soft brush of Dazai's tongue against his lower lip, asking for permission. And for once, Chuuya didn't resist. He let Dazai in, their kiss becoming slower, more sensual. Chuuya's heart pounded in his chest as Dazai explored his mouth with deliberate care, the kiss growing impossibly deeper, more intense.
