This story has been written as a sequel to "Beauty and Decay" but it can very much be read as a standalone as well. Only a few details connect with the last volume and the fact that they're set in the same universe with recurring characters. The action in this book happens one year after the end of the series and features a character which played just a very small part there. Some other known characters from "Beauty and Decay" appear as well, but only episodically, making this a very easy read even for someone who hasn't known them from before.
As a side note, I don't have warnings for each chapter, but keep in mind that the story features: violence, language, drugs and alcohol consumption, gore, and mentions of occult elements.
