That same day

Seokjin groaned tiredly hearing the continuous ringing of his doorbell.

Who on earth is here to torture me on my day off? Seokjin thought getting up from his bed to open the door.

He walked straight to the door and opened it just to be met face to face with Hoseok. It took him every ounce of patience to not smack him down at that moment.

"What the hell are you doing here? It is my day off." Seokjin yelled to unresponsive Hoseok who just moved aside revealing a woman.

"Mom" Seokjin muttered before snapping back.

He opened the door wide ushering his mother in. The woman walked straight into the apartment observing every inch of it as she walked.

She walked elegantly to the sofa and sat down on it.

"Are you waiting for me to usher you in too?" Seokjin whispered to Hoseok who shook his head and replied.

"She came to the police station looking for you. So I brought her here. I will take my leave now.Make sure to show your appreciation with a gift okay?" Hoseok said with a cheeky smile and walked away leaving an irritated Seokjin.

Seokjin sighed and closed his door. He slowly walked towards the sofa dreading whatever was coming.

He soon took a seat on the sofa opposite his mom and look down not wanting to look into her face.

"Won't you even greet me, Jin?" His mother asked her voice coming off as a sweet whisper.

"I missed you" She added and Seokjin immediately looked up. This wasn't how the conversation was supposed to go!

"I am not here to scold you Jin. The continuous build up of my anger and disappointment has faded away due to how long I waited for you." She explained.

"Mom" Seokjin called softly. Tears stinged his eyes realising his only family was hurting because he was afraid.

Afraid to tell her he has no clue about the whereabouts of him and he might never be able to find him.

"Yes, Jin. I am your mother. I swear I wouldn't have been angry at you. I know you are trying your best. It's just isn't the time yet." She further explained softly. Her son who she hadn't seen for three years was finally in front of her and her heart felt at peace.

"Mom I am sorry" Seokjin spoke slowly.

"I am sorry for not coming home for past years. I was just scared. Scared that you will be disappointed." Seokjin explained, tears clouding his eyes. He missed his mom.

"No need to say sorry, son. I was just a bit lonely in that big mansion." She said with a sad smile.

But upon hearing, she was lonely. Seokjin burst into tears.

"I missed you too mom. And I am so sorry." Seokjin said his tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Don't cry Jin. Come to your mother" She said and opened her arms and that was all for Seokjin to get up from his seat immediately diving into her arms hugging her tightly.

"I am sorry mom." Seokjin replied.

"Shh, no more apologies okay? I am right here now. And I am sorry too. It took me years to find you." She said softly patting his back to sooth her son.

Seokjin remained silent hugging her tight. He was finally back in his mother's warm embrace.

Seokjin's mom continued whispering soothing words into his ears and Seokjin's loud sobs soon turned into feeble whimpers.
