Chapter 3 - Why You Care?

Freen Sarocha Chankimha life is not a fairy tale, but she try to live her best in every situation life have give her, always try to be positive.

Freen came from a small town, about 2
hours drive from Bangkok, from Angthong province.

She doesn't have complete family, just a middle class family, with no father, she is the only child in the family.

Mother and daughter lost the man of the family 7 years ago, after that, the family is not same as before.

In some way Freen is lucky, her father saved her education money since she was a child.

He always save money for his daughter education. He was school dropped out, so he want his daughter to get good education, and became an independent woman.

When he was alive, he worked in a manufacturing company. Income is not much, but they live a happy life. They have small house and her mother work part time job from time to time.

After her father died, her mother devastated, drawn in alcohol and pills. They love eachother very much.
Freen heard about their love story. They married in very young age, her mother was 20 when she had Freen.

The manufacturing company let her mother work in place of her father but, it doesn't last long because her mother alcoholism.

Once a happy family became broken. Freen was in high-school that time, she had to go through difficult time.

Even her grandmother come frequently to check on her, even she is busy. Because grandma worried about her daughter.

With lots of counseling, her mother was out of addiction, but don't know what will happened if she relapse. Freen really worried about that.

Even her mother promised her that she won't touch alcohol, but sometime Freen caught her. But Freen couldn't mad at her mother, because she know how much her mother miss her father.
If it not heavy drink, Freen let it go.

That was in past, till now her mother do good. But still Freen have to be careful, most Sunday she went home to check on her, even her mother is totally ok.

"Ohh, eat this bunny, you look thin"
"Thank you Mom, its so tasty, and I am not thin Mom"
"Uhmm, still eat a lot, you need energy for study"
"Yes, and I met grandma lately"
"Uhm she told me, you became friend with the daughter, where she work"
"Uhmm, her name is Rebecca, the one I told you about"
Freen said smiling

"Uhmm, but be careful. They are rich people"
"Mom she is different, she is so simple and very good to me"

Her mother just nod her head. When she is at home she always check for alcohol or pill, without her mother knowledge.

She even asked her cousin sister, who live next house to look after her mother time to time. After spending time with her mother, Freen always came back to Bangkok, in evening for next day class.

She is thinking about her mother, doesn't want to leave her alone.

In first place she doesn't want to come to Bangkok, but it's her father dream to send her to a good college. Her mother insisted her that she will be ok. Said what most important is her education.

After her graduation she is planning to search a teaching job in a school, and she want to bring her mother with her. Because in city, there is more opportunities.

Freen looked at her keychain, She miss her father very much. Even she miss him, what can she do.

She was very sad, when she lost her keychain in Seoul. But all thanks to Becky.
